Doghouse Grooming

I really don’t like leaving negative reviews for local businesses, but unfortunately this experience was too significant not to share. We brought in our Samoyed mix and provided very clear verbal instructions along with a reference photo of the desired groom. Instead, when we picked her up, she had been completely shaved. For a long-haired, double-coated breed, this is not just a cosmetic issue—it can affect their ability to properly regulate temperature and maintain coat health. I would expect a dog person let alone a groomer know this. It’s also explicitly not what we asked for. I’m honestly struggling to understand how this outcome happened given the clear guidance we provided. If there were concerns about achieving the requested style, we would have appreciated a conversation beforehand rather than a result that cannot be undone. I hope this feedback is taken seriously. Clear communication and setting expectations are critical—especially when working with breeds that require specific grooming knowledge.

We’ve been bringing our dog, Zeus a samoyed, here for the past two years and are always extremely happy with the results. The staff is so friendly and truly takes great care of him—he’s always excited to go and comes out just as happy! Whether it’s a bath, de-shedding, haircut, nail trim, all the services — they always do an great job. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and caring groomer!

Kylan was great and took such good care of Silas! He really took the time to ensure our husky was completely dry (which takes a lot of patience). There was a noticeable difference in Silas’s coat and he was hardly shedding at all after his bath and deshedding treatment! Kylan also trimmed the hair near his paw pads which is not included in the bath package, he really pays attention to detail!

Nancy and her crew are the best! They love our puppies and our puppies love them. We are always satisfied with the outcome and we appreciate their skills and heart in the care of our puppies love.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I feel people need to know about the amazing establishment. I found this place by accident and my oh my am I glad I did. The amount of professionalism and care is beyond words. My groomer is Destiny and I would not change her for anything in the world. Destiny is the most AMAZING groomer my dog has ever had!!!! My dog Stacy and I love her. ❤️

They did a great job with my Yorkie-Chihuahua mixed dog. The staff was very nice and I like the hiking and bath option they have. His haircut was exactly how I wanted it to be.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I truly felt compelled to take the time to write this one. My dog, Machiavelli, is extremely shy and anxious, and he’s had some very difficult grooming experiences in the past. Because of that, I’m always nervous trusting new places with him. From the moment we walked into Doghouse Grooming, I could feel the difference. The staff were calm, patient, and so incredibly kind, not just professional, but genuinely loving toward animals. They treated Machiavelli with such care, respect, and gentleness, meeting him exactly where he was emotionally. This was hands-down the best grooming experience I could have ever hoped for him. It meant everything to see my anxious boy handled with so much compassion and understanding. You can tell immediately that everyone there truly loves what they do. They treat your babies as if they were their own babies, and that kind of care is rare. We are absolutely customers for life, and I’m already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you so much to the entire team, Machiavelli looks so handsome and stylish, and I couldn’t be happier. See you guys soon! Mahalo! 🐶
