A Better Grooming & Pets

I moved to the area and had so many issues with previous groomers who denied my mini poodle Nugget (old crusty white dog) lol. A better grooming & pets were incredible and handled my dog with care. They only charged $36 for a full service (ear, anal, and nails) and shave. They have been in the business for over 30 years. Definitely calling this my forever groomer for my pet.

Such nice groomers! I am a former groomer and my dog turned out great and he is a LOT of work.They seem very nice. Made a repeat appointment for every 4 weeks! Very good prices!

For over 20 years we have been taking our dogs to these folks . Big and little . The dogs love them and we have never had a negative experience . I have read these negative reviews and it just seems people like to whine and complain because "they " are "special" These groomers kick ass. If they were truly as " Horrible " as some of these people say I don’t believe they would have been in business for at least 30 years and that says something. ( probably longer than the negative reviewers have been alive BTW ) I grew up across the street from them . Great people and great groomers . Rather than waist a bunch of money on a fancy place with a bunch of unnecessary fluff they concentrate on grooming and do a fantastic job ..

The owners are so sweet and knowledgeable. They did such a great job with our 140 lb. dog "Chief" today and the price was more than reasonable. I will definitely continue to take both our dogs there from now on. We live in peoria but it is well worth the little 20 mile drive.

Went in to get my dogs nail trimmed. Had to assist w trim and lady cut my dogs nail to short started bleeding. Place looked a mess honestly will not be returning.

We used to bring our dog here years ago because they were the only ones that could groom him. He's a very difficult dog and other groomers have called to tell us to come get him because he snaps and pulls away constantly. He is so scared and hates it so much. Then we moved and stopped taking him. Well, we tried to do it ourselves but he was getting pretty bad. I called a vet to see if they could sedate him and groom him. They wanted 300.00!! Pet Smart said they can't do difficult dogs and on and on....so we thought we would try A Better Grooming again. I was so surprised that they were still there! My daughter took him in and they actually remembered him and wondered why we never brought him back? They were so sweet and kind! I was so happy that,finally, my dog could get properly groomed. They did a wonderful job!! And the BEST perk is they are the BEST price around!!! Thank you!! He'll be back, before he gets bad again! Thank you so much! I reccomend 'A Better Grooming!'

It's an okay groomer for the price, I've only been here a couple of times but the 2 times I've been here I had a strange feeling in my gut. Today when I went in I seen one of the ladies yelling in the dogs face snd grabbing it really hard. I felt bad witnessing it. It was a little too aggresive. After I paid and took my dog I realized that they had cut her nail too short and it was bleeding. I didn't bother to go back in but it just confirmed my suspicions. I won't be taking my dog back. The price is good and the people are decent but it's not worth my dogs pain. Id rather pay more for a groomer who takes their time and is gentle.
