Mudpuppies Grooming On Lombard

Elizabeth did a wonderful job grooming our little guy- Sometimes he can become very agitated at the groomers, but he came out looking very dapper and was obviously in very experienced hands! Very quick too - only about two hours- which is so important for easily stressed dogs. He showed no obvious signs of distress or needing to decompress at home, so this was a good experience for him as well! We asked for a cut that would be easy to maintain after his upcoming surgery, and they delivered marvelously.

I’ve taken Daisy twice and they’ve done a fantastic job with her nails. She got a blueberry bath and she’s never smelled so great. They texted me a reminder for services today and it prompted me to want to make another appointment and also sing their praises here. My pup is a sweet girl but she’s got some leash aggression and the staff handles her amazingly despite being a little difficult.

We have taken our dogs here a few times and been pleased with the work done. This time, however, the groomer shaved our dog when we specifically asked for a sanitary sweep and an overall trim. We have a Pomeranian which is a double coated dog breed . We are now concerned about patchy regrowth and any potential consequences it may have to her temperature regulation. Her dewclaws also appeared to be trimmed to the nerve . This experience has been extremely frustrating and worrying. We will not come back and will not recommend.

Do not bring your dog here!! At all, but especially if they are a double or triple coat pup. We asked for a clean up around his paws, eyes and privates and instead he got a near full buzz job. No one ever called to tell us they were planning to do this after we told them over the phone and in person that he was just there for a wash, blow out and clean up. Worth noting this is my first bad review I’ve ever left for a place — the haircut was so bad I cried when we stepped out of the space. Don’t let them do this to your pups!

I’m a new client and took my 15lb chihuahua papillon here. He got an excellent grooming from Elizabeth. They kept his coat just how I like it and he looks gorgeous. Thanks team! I’m about to be a regular.

What a wonderful, caring experience! The staff at Mudpuppies have made my day! My 3 pugs have never been so pampered with a bath, that made them feel soft & clean, a nail trim complete with filing all those sharp edges & and an overall check to make sure nothing was forgotten. All for an outstanding price, considering todays' economy. You can bet that the next time my babies are ready for a little pampering, we'll be making an appointment at Mudpuppies!

I’ve been taking my double-coated Mini Australian Shepherd, Gnocchi to Mudpuppies for over two years. I found them when looking for a groomer that knew how to care for Gnocchi’s special coat, as I read horror stories of Aussie shaves that result in the coat never growing back. Heather and team are specialists at this! I look forward to how beautiful and fresh smelling my pup is after we visit. They not only do a perfect sanitary trim, nail trim, and ear mat cleanup, but they give her beautiful feathering on her legs and ruff. They’re also so kind, everyone who works there from reception to groomers knows my girl and treats her sweetly. She and I are both nervous but she always calms down and leaves happy. A special, fun touch is they take pictures post-groom (if you like). I can’t believe these special photos are free! So thoughtful. The facility is also very clean and I love how they’ve added plants and light to the lobby. We are so lucky to have such a friendly and talented dog salon in North Portland. Also, with all this kindness and skill, their pricing is beyond reasonable. My friends are shocked when they hear how little I pay. Check them out!
