Scenthound Portland Cedar Mill

We just moved to the Portland area and stumbled upon this business by accident. We got a great feel about the place initially and our instincts served us well! We had our little Staffordshire Bull terrier Bonbon get the initial grooming package which worked out great. She was shampooed, ears cleaned (very well because they were cropped). The main reason to come here for us was the nail trimming. We were informed of her overall health by appearance, weight, condition of her teeth and skin. We went ahead and purchased a package where she would have these things done on a monthly basis. She came home happy and looking great, nice and shiny. The main thing was she was calm and collected, not stressed or traumatized. That’s important to us. Overall we would highly recommend Scenthound (we went to the Cedar Mills location) for all your grooming needs. A well cared for pup is a happy pup 🐶 🐾

Our newly rescued blind pug, Obi was nervous about his nails (black nail quick hard to see!) being trimmed. He was met with patience, kindness, and they were able to successfully trim his nails beautifully, and calmly. Thank you! Super friendly staff who puts your dogs wellbeing first. They don’t try to up sell you, or convince you of membership but meet you with your furry companions needs. I appreciated this. Also, everything is fairly priced.

This place has the absolute best staff! My dog got off his leash in front of the store and she came out to help me asap! I was so grateful. Also, they fit me in on a same day request. It would definitely be 5 stars, except I paid for a blow dry and definitely got a damp dog back! My only tiny complaint. I'd recommend this place to anyone for basic grooming.

We have been searching for the perfect spot to take our beloved pups and finally found it! We have two senior dogs and a lively younger one, and let me tell you, the search has been quite the adventure. But this place truly exceeded our expectations! Everything was incredibly smooth and stress-free, from the first call to the seamless drop-off and pick-up process. We've visited many in N & NE Portland establishments, but this one was worth the drive. A heartfelt thank you to the excellent staff for their exceptional care, attention to detail, and genuine friendliness. Our pups felt right at home, and we couldn’t be happier! Arrived early ( traffic was. a little easier to handle ) and clinic was kind enough to take Bella early ., rather than having over an hour to wait . The y took care of checking in pets and handling all pets that were due to be picked up as well as to take care of our Bella. Thanks to a great team !

I am so glad to have found this place! I am always nervous to drop my pup off but they were so nice and patient with Hank. When I came to pick him up he looked, smelled and felt amazing. We will be back!

Amazing customer service! So excited I signed up for the membership. My 95lb Golden Pyrenees has not been able to get his nails cut due to aggressive that started because a previous groomer traumatized him by cutting a nail past the quick. They were able to cut his long nails after I’ve had many groomers not be able too. Amazing work & highly recommend!
