Prospect Boarding & Grooming

This is outrageous. My dog was left here for a week as we went on vacation. Our lovable pooch, I fear, will never be the same. He was always calm and timid but when we got him back it seemed to be to a degree that we have never seen before. He became submissive and completely zombie like as he slugs around the house. Our once happy dog has been heavily affected by this establishment.

BE WARNED! NOT WHAT THEY USED TO BE! I've been going here for years and it's always great, made a appointment last week and when I went to drop off my dog the building was empty and the number wasn't working. One of the groomers saw me walking around and called me into a different building in the same plaza and said they moved. She took my dog at the door I didn't get to see inside. When I picked my dog up I was horrified. First I had to yell hello 3 times before someone acknowledged me... then I saw the one and only room they work in. It was filthy and full of dogs in cages and just tied up. My dog was still wet, filled with loose fur and shaking. Horrible conditions for the dogs and the groomer.

These people LOVE my dogs! They get so excited to see them and our dogs love going there. What else could you ask for! The pricing is stellar. The only "downside" is that because it's so small, you definitely need to call way in advance. In addition, there aren't any live cams - this would make Prospect 10 stars 🙂

Extremely unhappy with the service here I bought my dog in for grooming, he had a few knots in his fur and the groomer said the only solution was to shave all hair off. They were extremely lazy and would not make any attempt to brush them out the appointment before this one He came back with small shaved spots all over his hair and it looked very bad and unprofessional. very unhappy and will NEVER bring my dog back and I recommend you do not bring you dogs or cats their

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I had made a reservation for my dog but needed to cancel. I was unaware of the 7 day refund policy due to a lack of communication. The staff was very professional and polite in handling the situation. Although they were unable to give me a refund, the manager made accommodations to fit my needs. Definitely recommend this place for boarding and grooming needs.

so unbelievably upset. i cannot believe the pain my poor dog suffered at this kennel. we went away for a week long vacation and entrusted the health and care of a treasured member of our family in their hands. he came home with bloody paws, as if from being on hot pavement. not to mention, the low spirits, our usually happy and cheerful dog, has been in ever since we’ve brought him home. i don’t know what’s going on there, but we will never be using this service ever again. i strongly recommend using another service if you truly love your pet.

I went to have my longhair cat groomed at Prospect Boarding & Grooming and was very disappointed with the service I received. The front desk receptionist was very friendly, nice, and quite welcoming; however, the groomer who specializes in cat grooming was extremely rude, unprofessional, and made me feel like a bad pet owner and an idiot in front of other customers. I was asked a number of questions by the groomer about my cat and every response I had (most of which I had no idea the proper response to as this was my first time ever having my cat groomed) was met with an exasperated sigh, a blatant look of disapproval, and a short annoyed response that left me feeling uncomfortable about even leaving my cat there. I was told I would be contacted around 11AM for pickup as she "did not want to leave the cat in there for so long with all the big dogs." At 12:15PM I had not heard anything and decided to call for a status update. I was informed that the cat had been ready for pickup for a while. It makes me wonder how long my cat, who is not accustomed to dogs, would have been sitting there if I had not followed-up. Upon pickup, the groomer brought out the pet carrier with my cat in it, DROPPED it on the floor stating: "here's unhappy Paige (cat's name). Unhappy Paige," and walked back into the grooming area. There was no explanation on how the grooming went or follow-up with me about care. The grooming was very choppy and uneven in many areas of her coat. I will NOT be returning to Prospect Boarding & Grooming and would advise against others bringing their pets, especially their cats for grooming there.
