Let me preface my review by saying I have been going to Fuzzy Tails since 2012. This place was great under George. Ever since the new owners took over, the previous groomers are longer with the shop, their service has gone down, their prices have increased and overall, it has lost its charm as the neighborhood place to take your fur babies. I take one of my dogs every 2 weeks to get groomed coz of skin issues and my second one goes monthly. There have been small issues with grooming and my dogs starts whimpering when we go there, but I have not fussed over it with them. Last week, my dog went in for her biweekly groom and they cut her nails too deep and her veins were exposed. They made no effort to let me know this happened. I noticed it later that night and put her in a cone. That nail has gotten infected and we had to go to the vet to take care of it. This is negligent behavior. I will not be taking my babies here anymore. Do not take your dogs there; there are lots of other options who will take much better care of your fur babies.
The people here really care about your pets, they are all super nice every time I come in or call. I bring my Siberian Husky here every time his shedding starts getting out of hand and they do a great job with getting his undercoat under control! Even my vet complimented they he was exceptionally well groomed a few weeks after he was last groomed. Lastly, their prices are extremely fair especially given the amount of time they commit and the great results. Never going anywhere else as long as I'm in Dallas!
Amanda did such an amazing job on my Pyrenees girl. She took her time and had patience with Daisy to make her feel comfortable. The staff is super nice too! I would def recommend coming here
Wonderful service! They really care about all of the dogs and do a great job with grooming them! I got the full service grooming for my little man and he looks so handsome! 🐶💙
Love this place! They so such a great job on my labradoodle every time. They keep me very informed of his hygiene and make him stylish every time! He always seems happy to come and go from there. I just know they treat their animals right!! Highly recommend.
I normally don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I feel like other pet owners should be aware. I took my puppy to this grooming place Saturday and not long after the appointment she developed a painful ear infection. She has never had ear issues before, so I and her vet believe it was related to the way her grooming was handled. Not only did I have to take her to the vet for treatment, but he was clearly uncomfortable and in pain. This was really upsetting, and it turned what should have been a routine grooming into a stressful and expensive situation. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this place be cautious. Pet health and safety should always come first, and unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience here. I strongly disagree with the explanation that it’s "normal" for a dog to get an ear infection after grooming. In my experience as a pet owner, that is not normal at all. Immediately after the grooming, my dog developed an ear infection severe enough that I had to take them to the vet, resulting in a $200 bill. On top of that, I paid over $100 for the grooming itself, which now feels completely invalid because my dog came home with severe ear drainage and a bad odor from the infection. The whole point of grooming is to have your pet come back clean and healthy, not sick and uncomfortable. This was both frustrating and concerning, and I feel other pet owners deserve to know that this was my experience.
My first time here, I took in my beautiful old english sheepdog. We had been growing his hair out for a while so he could get it styled and cut. When I went in there I told them to please not cut his face at all, please only clean it up, that I wanted his head to stay larger. But NOT TO CUT IT OFF. I even showed them a picture they have on their website of a brown dog they had done before, and the front desk even took a picture of the picture i had in my phone. I get there later to pick up my dog, and unfortunately my dog was completely shaved off. Head to toe😔 I wanted to cry, my dog went from looking big and beautiful to looking like a goat. They shaved his whole face and head. I wanted to cry because they did exactly what i said not to, and on top of that, i had to pay almost $200 dollars for him. I paid $184 dollars for my dog to be shaved, something I could of probably done at home. I should of read the reviews. I will post how he came in, the picture I showed them, and how he came out. This is not right. I know I cant make his hair grow back, and what is done, IS DONE, but it sucks. They told me that he had knots on his face but my dog did not have knots anywhere on his face. Their technician even called me and told me he had some on his body and if it was ok to go shorter which i did agree to that, but never to his face. They also dont let you see your dog until you pay, and after you pay, they bring your dog out. I then called, spoke to the owner, and said she would refun me half of the total amount plus the tip i left, and still hasnt. Dont bring your dog here unless you just want them shaved.
