After being a very loyal customer for welll over 10 years, the lack of understanding and empathy the owner had for a cancellation due to an unexpected death in my family left such a sour taste for me. She made me feel as though despite what was going on , a 2 day notice was not acceptable and I must pay for that missed appointment . It let me realize that it was only about money and we were NOT like family . I will say that her groomers are awesome , but I cannot give my money to a service that has no respect for my unfortunate circumstances. I unfortunately have to take my dog elsewhere and will no longer refer anyone else to Smiling Dog

My whole family used to come here … we even bought a book Penny was selling! However, after being lectured several times about getting our dog’s nails trimmed more often, we decided to stop going. There were three different customers in our family, and we all had the same experience. We completely understand the importance of nail care, but being repeatedly scolded made the visits uncomfortable. After the third reminder, we chose to take our business elsewhere.

I think my wife was more nervous than our dog for his first ever grooming in 5 years, but Penny made us all feel comfortable and confident that she will take good care of our papillon and she did not disappoint at all! You can tell she loves her work and is good at it. Great job! Will definitely return.

By far the very best place to get your dog groomed I've been taking my little corgi/pomerian there for 11 yrs now and I would never go anywhere else, Penny and her staff are WONDERFUL, no matter who does the grooming!! Honestly to God, the vibe in there is superb, I just recently took " Princess " in and at the moment she has a bum hind leg, and they were VERY mindful to her, so to anyone out there looking for a groomer I can't think of any place as friendly, compassionate, and professional as the Smiling Dog!!!

I absolutely love this place and the owner Penny! She's super nice friendly and down to earth. She does an awesome job on my dog I've been w her for 18yrs, and I would never take any of my dogs anywhere else. It's very clean, and she's super knowledgeable about all dogs and how to handle them w care. If your looking for a place to have your dog groomed, seriously go here I highly recommend her.

Highly recommend. If you are paranoid pet parent and have no idea where to take your animal, or just have a hard time finding a place that you could trust, this is the place to go! Penny is so welcoming and caring, not only for the animals but for the owners too. I have 2 pits, one is still a puppy and very excited about everything & they were very patient with me and my pup. My other pit mama has a bad back leg and they made sure to be careful with her which was my biggest concern, she is my rescue baby and has had a hard life, they took amazing care of both my pups. I also have to add in that penny is one of the most hands on business owners I have ever met, she will go out of her way to make sure your baby is well taken care of. This is my go to spot from now on. Finally a place that cares❤ thank you all who helped me and my fiance today with out babies. You guys are all amazing ! We will be back !!

This is the ONLY groomer I trust with my baby! I have a short hair chihuahua. Even though her grooming needs are basic, they do a fantastic job. Penny, who is the owner/operator, truly loves each & every dog who comes in there & treats them all like her own animals. All of her staff are great, so very friendly & professional. Pricing is most definitely reasonable, I have spent more in the past on big chain pet store grooming services. My baby girl always comes home smelling great, very clean, nails trimmed short & with a cute bandana on her neck. It's hard to find a place that's reputable & trustworthy when it comes to care for an animal, animals cannot tell you if they've been mistreated. I can tell you, this is the only place I will ever take my dog for grooming or boarding. The boarding crates are enormous, very clean & have a huge, fluffy pad in them. Boarding fees are also reasonable.
