Cozy Bear Grooming

Alyssa did an absolutely incredible job with my 11-year-old border collie, Little Pup! Border collies have very specific coat needs, and Alyssa came prepared with the patience, experience, and skill to handle it beautifully. The salon is clean, cute, and I love that Alyssa does all parts of the grooming process herself. She spent a full 3 hours on a complete overhaul including a wash, blueberry facial mask, blow dry, and a shaping shave, and the results were stunning. Little Pup looks like a puppy again! What stood out most was how professional, kind, and attentive Alyssa was throughout the whole process, making sure it was a positive first grooming experience for Little Pup. The little pink bow at the end was such a sweet touch! We are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend! Including a before picture as well as several after photos!

I moved to Seal Beach in March because of a family illness. I’ve been unable to find a groomer willing to groom my senior dog in all this time. He’s a Bichon Poodle mix & he’ll be 17 on November 25th. I did have my 6 year old poodle groomed once and it was basically just a bath. My old boy hasn’t been groomed since February so he was quite matted. They did an excellent job and my boys look beautiful. It is a bit on the higher end but that could be California pricing and they were a lot of work. She spent a lot of time with them. Plus I noticed they weren’t stressed out and shaking like they always do upon arrival at every grooming appointment. I’m very happy and it was worth it to me. Plus they called me during the grooming process to update and ask questions. That’s a first for me and I found it comforting and considerate.

I have had the pleasure of doing business with this shop and the owner is super rad. The grooms they do are top notch and the vibe is super chill. Watching a new groom salon like this start up... I assure you it is just a matter of time before they book out! Get in quick to ensure your dog gets the groom they deserve. The dogs always look so happy leaving. 🙂

I highly recommend Cozy Bear Grooming! My dog is much happier and more calm than anywhere else we have gone in addition to her cut being exceptional! They put the most love and attention to detail into every part of the grooming process; love their blueberry dog facial treatment (spa for my dog!), the ear protection headband when drying, the secure grooming tables, the open-concept and cage-free experience, and wonderful smells that are not overly perfume-y. My dog gets very nervous at most groomers and has come home hurt in the past (licked scissors, sliced ear requiring stitches) but I know she is relaxed and in good hands at Cozy Bear Grooming - she even falls asleep at times! I trust Cozy Bear to make my sweetie look adorable and to provide a safe environment to calm her anxiety.

Alyssa is truly the best groomer we’ve ever had! She’s been grooming our pup Reese for a couple of years now, and we were so excited when she opened a shop closer to us. She’s on a completely different level than your typical groomer and truly an artist at what she does. After every groom, we get comments from people who are shocked Reese isn’t a puppy. She just has this ability to make dogs look so adorable and their best selves every time. We are also extremely particular about who we trust with Reese's care, and it's worth every penny knowing she is in such good hands with someone who treats her like her own. If you’re looking for someone who takes incredible pride in their craft and truly cares about the dogs they work with, Alyssa and Cozy Bear is the best there is.

So glad we found Cozy Bear Grooming! Alyssa is truly the best. She has amazing attention to detail and best of all, my dog no longer goes in shaking to the groomer. Alyssa was patient with my dog at his 1st appointment and by his 2nd, my dog went in excited! Alyssa was able to gain his trust and I feel more at peace dropping him off. She does a great job styling my pup whether it’s a bath and a fluff out or a full groom! I am obsessed with his most recent cut! I gave her full creative control and she did not disappoint! The shop itself is also super cute and has the coziest vibe. Alyssa is friendly and I’m super excited that we have found my pup’s forever groomer. Took our puppy to Alyssa for his first grooming appointment. She is very detailed and it’s obvious she is very experienced. I love the follow up text she sends about how the session went. So glad she’s at this new location in Seal beach!
