Velvet Paw

I've been bringing my wirehaired dachshund to Katie at the Velvet Paw for years, and she is THE BEST. He is shy and anxious and not fond of strangers, but she is so patient and understanding with him and he trusts her. She does a fantastic job grooming him, communicates really well with us about what we like, and is really responsive for scheduling. You can really tell how much she loves the dogs and her work. I wouldn't take him anywhere else!

I have a medically compromised and "delicate" fur baby that Katie has been grooming for years. She has been so patient with my Gracie and I am incredibly grateful. Gracie trusts her and I can tell she is comfortable with Katie (as dog owners, you know we can tell when they are ;). I also appreciate that she works on one dog only at a time. Because of that, you want to make sure you have about a 2 hour time frame to drop off, wait and then pick up promptly. I run errands, work out or hang at a local coffee shop while waiting. She is also in tune with how much Gracie is able to handle in an appointment (for example- if Gracie is extra anxious by the dryer that day- she uses her hand held dryer instead). You just cannot get this kind of service at a larger shop. I think Katie is secretly a dog whisperer too ;).

I have been taking my Yorkie here since she was a puppy (she’s almost 11 now!) and Katie has ALWAYS done a fabulous job. Every single time, my dog looks fabulous and I know she is being very well cared for while she’s there.

Katie is a fantastic groomer and really loves her work. She'll give your pup the care, attention, and look he/she deserves. I wish I hadn't moved away from Seattle, this type of quality and responsiveness is hard to find.

Velvet Paw is the only pet salon that my dogs don't mind visiting. I love that I don't have to repeat myself every visit regarding what style I am wanting for my Westies. The owner is kind, treats my pooches well, and I trust her with my loved ones.
