Petco Grooming

The staff were super friendly and helpful! Oliver was a handful but that didn’t faze them at all! We picked up Oliver and he was clean, fluffy and smelled so good!

I’ve brought my dog here various times for grooming. They have notes on file on what she usually gets. Usually it’s a short, but still fluffy body and teddy bear face. She’s a Shih Tzu for reference. In the past if she’s had matting, they’ve cut short around the body, but still left a trimmed fluffy face. However, this last time I picked up my sweet pup and I did a double take. She looked like a completely different breed of dog. She was completely shaved down, body and face with just a bit of fluff on her tail. My whole family was in shock when we got home. We left with a Shih Tzu and came back with a Chihuahua/Pug mix. They didn’t have to shave down her face. It was so sad! On the bright side, they were gentle on her, no nicks or cuts. I’d like to add that they charge extra for nails and teeth, although it’s supposed to be included in the basic grooming package. We paid over $140 due to extras. In my opinion, that’s a lot for a mediocre cut. I did a Google image search and it’s said she was a "chug" lol

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this grooming salon. When I picked up my dog, she appeared disoriented, weak, and was struggling to walk—behavior that was completely out of character for her. She looked as though she had been sedated, which was deeply upsetting and concerning. What makes this worse is that a similar incident happened once before about two years ago. I regret giving this place another chance, and I take responsibility for that, but I trusted that my dog would be safe and treated with care. Regardless of the cause, no pet should be returned to their owner in this condition without a clear explanation. I left feeling worried, guilty, and angry. I will not be returning and strongly encourage other pet owners to be cautious and ask detailed questions before leaving their animals here.

We have been going to Allison for a while now. We know she loves Coco and Oliver because they get so excited to see her, and they always come back smelling amazing! Coco can sometimes get snappy when she has her nails trimmed, but Allison does so well with her. I highly recommend!

Jordan did an excellent job of grooming my dog when she was there!! My dog and I loved her!! We were sorry to hear she was no longer with you when we scheduled this appointment. This one star is based on my experience today. After driving 25 mins to get there I have been bringing my dog here for several years and today it was requested that I bring her updated rabies vaccination. That was refused because in your system you have her down with her nickname that we call her which is different than what is on her vaccination certificate. This has never been an issue before in all the times we brought her there. And you would not accept the tag as proof that it was the current vaccination because you said that I could have switched tags. Needless to say we won’t be coming back. I called and still was told the same thing as yesterday. The only way for me to fix it is to go to the vet and have her name changed there so they match your system. What I don’t understand after coming there for several years it is now as issue. We just won’t be coming back there

They take great care of my dogs! When I went in they said my rabies was expired, so I drove home and got the sheets and came back. They then said they made a mistake and it was current all along. Overall great care, but their system is messed up - has been for years. Petco and Vetco are as different as apples and hammers. I have yet to get any credit for grooming even after 10 years.
