Petco Grooming

I recently moved to MS and was looking for a new groomer. I decided to take my dog to Petco. I was a little nervous but they did an amazing job with my toy poodle. They cut him exactly like I wanted. I was overly impressed with their work. They listen to my request and got it perfect. The staff is very friendly. and I would recommend this place.

The service was excellent and all of the groomers were very helpful and informative about everything. These are before and after pictures of my baby Trixie.

My dog has been getting groomed at Petco in Southaven for a year. The manager/groomer does great work; however, the lack of customer service is overwhelming. For example, I had a 1:00 appointment for grooming, however, I arrived at 12:50, Madison, the manager informed me that I needed to wait in my car until the appointment time because I was too early. I never understood why the manager/groomer would behave in this manner. My inference was that Madison was on a supreme power trip. The absolute last time I brought my dog to this groomer; I was checking my dog in at the counter and usually the groomer will consult with the owner about the grooming needs. Another groomer asked Madison to come and consult with my dog and I. Madison turned around and stated. "I need to finish this dog, you do it". I was perplexed because Madison was the groomer scheduled for service. The check-in process is no longer than 3 minutes. The lack of professionalism. I called the store to express my dissatisfaction, and Madison told me she could not groom my dog because he was too anxious. Oh! how ironic. I asked her could anyone else in the grooming department groom him and she gave me a hard no and continued with I need to come and get my dog. If my dog was being anxious, he was definitely feeding off Madison's energy.

They had my dog for 3 hours yesterday and finally called me to say they couldn’t groom her ! That’s unacceptable! This was my dog second time going to get groomed she’s a freaking puppy for crying out loud! It’s unacceptabled to have a dog for 3 hours and not groom her ! Then banded her from the facility! I will never spend another dime at petco in Southaven . We did not have this experience on our first time there . And the groomer was Madison ! The first time we went it was alley and she did an amazing job with my fur baby !

I was told they didn’t have time to do a full cut on my babies due to the groomer having to get off at 3:30. I dropped my babies off at 1:30 I went back to check on them about 4:15 I was told they should be ready around 5 I didn’t get a call until after 5:30 . Didn’t expect it to take that long since the groomer was getting off at 330. With them being there that long I feel they should’ve got the full cut. Since the price was the same as a full cut. I just feel the whole situation was very unprofessional.
