Head and Tails Pet Salon, Fear Free Certified

We brought our little Yorkie Chi here twice so far and both appointments have been wonderful. She really hates being groomed, but doesn’t seem to be as upset coming here as other places we’ve taken her. The staff at Head and Tails is very responsive and kindly provides updates (pics and videos) during the appointment. I was shocked to see my baby so calm mid grooming. I’ve shown them pictures of how short I’d like her hair to be cut, and so far they’ve been very consistent. They are wonderful with her and actually do everything we’re paying for. In the past, other groomers have sometimes claimed that they clipped her nails (she hates getting them done and will put up a fight), but when I checked after the visit, they looked and felt exactly the same as pre-appointment. At Head and Tails, they clip her nails so nicely. During my second visit I did have a misunderstanding regarding the late fee policy as I was confused by the wording of it. I spoke to a manager, Francis, who respectfully responded to me and helped resolve the issue. I will happily bring my pup here for future grooming visits and highly recommend Head and Tails Pet Salon to anyone looking for a groomer for their fur baby.

I have nothing but amazing things to say! As a first-time dog mom, Finding the right groomer has been a journey—and after trying a few places in the area, I can confidently that journey ends here and we finally found the BEST. My pup sees Johanna, and she is beyond patient and kind. He absolutely hates having his front paws touched, but she’s always calm, gentle, and incredibly understanding. Johanna always greets us with a big smile, listens to exactly what I want, and delivers every time. They send photo updates during the appointment (which I LOVE!), and text 15–30 minutes before your dog is ready—super professional and thoughtful. We’re still working on his front paw sensitivity and socialization with other dogs, but after about 5 visits, it’s clear: Flash has found his groomer💕. We love you, Titi Johanna! 🩵🐾🐕‍🦺

Hands down the most professional and thoughtful facility I’ve taken my dog (working line german shepherd). The owner set this place up for maximum comfort, security, and organization. She really made a fantastic environment for dogs of all sizes. The price is reasonably premium but for 50x the value of going anywhere else. The service and peace of mind makes this such a great deal.

Absolutely the best grooming experience we’ve ever had! This groomer is truly **cage-free**, and it makes such a difference. Our three dogs were relaxed, happy, and clearly felt safe and cared for the entire time. When we picked them up, they looked amazing and—more importantly—were calm and content, not stressed at all. They keep you updated about the process and are easily accessible if needed. It’s obvious they’re treated with patience, kindness, and genuine love. This was hands down the **best experience our dogs have ever had**, and as pet parents, we couldn’t be happier. We’re so grateful to have found a groomer we trust completely. This place is truly compassionate and caring with pets. I really appreciate the transparency they provide, including sending videos during the grooming process, which gave me great peace of mind. My dog, Hershey, is eleven years old and has had bad experiences with groomers in the past, so he usually gets anxious. This time, he came home calm, happy, and looking so handsome. It was clear he was treated with patience and care. The team did an excellent job! and I’m very grateful. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Highly recommend!!!

I have taken Lola to three different groomers and I’ve disliked them all. When I think about a spa, it’s this establishment. It’s BEAUTIFUL. From the spa music, to the cleanliness, to the waiting area, the dog park out back, the fact they close the doors for the safety of the dogs. The cutting area has windows for owners to watch as well as the shower area. Every single detail was thought about. As an icing on the cake, they send photos and videos during the process!!!!!! Look no further. If you’re a true animal lover, you will be in love here.

I’ve been to this groomer multiple times in the past and always had a great experience, especially with their communication. Unfortunately, today was the complete opposite. When I arrived for my 8 AM appointment, the staff member who opened the door didn’t greet me or respond when I said hello and mentioned my appointment. The interaction felt very unwelcoming from the start. I left my dog in the front waiting area (which I’m familiar with from previous visits) and waited in my car outside. For over an hour, I watched my dog bark, howl, and show clear signs of distress while no one checked on him. He even attempted to jump the gate multiple times. Considering they advertise being "fear-free certified," I expected more care in helping him feel comfortable. After an hour with no service started, I went inside to ask about the delay and was told the groomer wasn’t there yet. I waited another 20 minutes with no apology or update before deciding to take my dog and leave. They’re very quick to charge clients late fees, yet when they’re running late there was no communication or acknowledgment. Very disappointing compared to the experiences I’ve had there before
