Petco Grooming

We LOVE Krista at Petco! Our boy Marty is not a pet - he's a member of our family. We drive about an hour, one way, to take him to Petco in Wichita Falls because we know he will get the best experience. Krista makes us feel like Marty is his only "client" and we sincerely appreciate the gentle care she gives him. She has even texted us pictures to let us know how he's doing during his "spa day"

We brought our 15 year old dog, Sadie, to Petco Grooming on July 27 at 12:15 PM. We typically request the same groomer who has always been gentle and kind with Sadie, but she wasn't available that day, so another groomer handled her bath and nails. When we came to pick Sadie up, the groomer who worked with her left quickly without speaking to us, which was unusual. The groomer we usually see came out to finish the paperwork and let us know she hadn't done the groom. Sadie was also still quite wet, which surprised us, but we were told she doesn’t like the dryer, which we understand. However, when we got home, Sadie was moving very slowly and seemed lethargic. The next day, she appeared to be in pain, so we took her to our vet, who diagnosed her with a bulging disc in her back. While I can't say definitively what caused her injury, I can say she was not herself after that appointment, and we won't be returning to Petco for grooming. I hope sharing this helps other pet owners, especially those with senior dogs, make informed choices. I’m not someone who usually leaves reviews. I’m pretty non-confrontational and tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. But we’ve had our sweet Sadie for 15 years. She’s family, and this situation was upsetting enough that I felt it needed to be shared.

I took my dog to get groomed yesterday and the groomer (younger girl with dark hair and tattoos) was very sweet and fell in love with my old girl. They got her through EXTREMELY quick and let me pick out which cologne I wanted them to use. She was also very meticulous about making sure any notes I requested be put down and making sure there would be no issues with any of their products since I have allergies to certain scents/products. I am a little confused as to why I was charged for long hair when my dog has more of a medium length fur but other than that I am very pleased with the care and quality given to my little fur baby!

took our Shih-Poo in for a haircut. Yes she was matted and ask the groomers to do their best to keep as much hair as possible. left her and went into store to shop as we were checking out saw the groomer (bigger gal) imediately starting to shave! (why charge to demat when they just shave) Long story short several razor burns when we got her home we had to treat areas and she is still having issues with her backend. I know this is a corp store but I did expect better. If you would like your dogs sheared like a sheep take them here for care go somewhere else! Done with Petco grooming!!

I came back to pick up my dog after 2 1/2 hours. My dog was usually ready in 1 to 1 1/2 hours. I was not notified she was ready but went inside to check on her. She was just ready as I arrived, I asked for my bill so I could go pay. The woman sitting grooming a dog said she could not get my bill because she was grooming a VIP. How rude! I’ve had my dog groomed there for years and would think getting my bill wouldn’t affect some so called VIP for a minute to help me out. So I had to wait for someone to show up from the back to help me. I wasn’t sure if the VIP was the dog or all the people packed in there to watch it get brushed. I had to excuse myself several times trying to get to counter to get my bill. It seemed like a great amount of difficulty for the person to help me. Once paid I had to work my way through the CROWD to get my dog who was blocked in by the VIP Circus. Is it your policy to disrespect customers not designated as VIP when so called VIP customers are being served. I don’t live in Wichita Falls and can’t just go sit at home until my non VIP status dog sits in your facility. I think they over loaded themselves with walk ins and had to neglect people who made appointments. My dog and one other were the only ones in the building when I dropped off. Maybe I need to try some other establishment.

Went there for grooming waited 30 min and yet no one one cared. Can confidently say the workers were lazy including the women with glasses on reception. One of them was doing a dog’s nail and the two of them were simple watching her do it while we had 3 people with our dogs unattended. Unless you wanna waste your time do not come here. Petsmart is far more better than this. Cancelling my account here. Never going back either.

We went to petco and was greeted by KAT, she was our groomer for our Luna. We were very sceptical at first because we had a bad experience elsewhere in town. KAT made us feel like family and showed us she really cared about us and our Luna. She did everything and more for us and Luna. KAT,you are our number one for now own, thank you and we hope petco knows what a valuable employee you are and that you mean the world to us now. Us and Luna will be BACK!
