Didn't fine out until till 2 days before we were to leave for vacation, that the sitter we had met a few weeks prior, was not going to be our sitter. Anna came to our home, the day before we were to leave and even though I had filled our their forms for them to follow, I had made a step by step routine and instructions sheet for morning, afternoon and evening visits, so there wouldn't be any questions. I had scheduled the morning visits to be 45 minutes, not one morning visit, did she stay 45 minutes. I was wondering why I wasn't able to see the log in and log out journal. Doug informed me that because Anna was one of the owners, that she was not required to log in or out, nor to keep a daily journal. This blew me away. How can you expect your employees to follow the rules and guidelines, but because you are an owner, you don't have to. After we returned home, I went through our recorded surveillance footage, to find out that 90 percent of the time Anna was on her phone. There was hardly and interaction with our pets. There was two days, that from the time she left in the evening to when she came back in the morning was over 14 hours. They did deduct the amount from my bill for the morning visits not being 45 minutes long, but I did find out that all of the reviews mentioning Shawn as doing a great job, he was the previous owner and is no longer with the company. I had to leave town last minute and Mike at Your Pet At Home really came through! I was thoroughly pleased with their service, price and value. Mike came the day before i left for a meet and greet (of course my cat cpuld care less) and i gave him the keys after giving him the run down pf my pets needs and demands. After that i received journal entries every day when he visited with pictures, gps notifications he was at my home and confirmation of what he did while at his visit. I attached the pictures of 1 of my journal emails to this review. I will use again for sure!

I contacted them for pet care 3 weeks before needing services and was told everything was great, just to send over a schedule. I sent over the schedule the following week and did not hear back for multiple days. Called 3 days in a row and was told it was in process and they were "speaking to the boss to get the schedule". On the last day, they told me they couldn't help me because of staffing issues. I now have a week to find pet care. Poor communication, unprofessional, would not recommend.

I have two cats that I used this service for, twice a day. I was very happy with the service. The litter boxes were cleaned, food and water checked every day and he also went above and beyond for my younger cat to make sure he had his toys to play with.....which he puts under my couch!! I was able to see pics and a daily log with cute comments. I would use again and recommend as well.

Shawn Soltesz - owner/proprietor of Your Pet At Home - is an "above and beyond" kind of guy and INCREDIBLY reliable and professional. One of our kitties has asthma, and Shawn makes it his business to give her inhaler meds at every visit - no easy task, I can assure you! But here's what he also does: He tracks you down in Canada, tells you your pool is about to flood because of torrential rains in St. Pete, and then stays on the phone with you for 20 minutes while you walk him thru the process of draining off a bit of the H20! Talk about peace of mind - for your animals AND your house! Shawn is true gem. So glad we found him!

I have had delayed flights and last minute medication visits for our cat. Your Pet at Home has always been extremely helpful and accommodating in all aspects of their service.

Hopefully I will get privileged to have them come and care for my kitties. I rescued strays and adopted them and i help trap strays so that they don't overpopulated and are given all vaccination and Rabies shots and having them.check for good health.
