PetSmart Grooming

I finally understand the issue with this grooming salon. They charge extra because they claim my puppy needs "special attention" since they struggle to brush him or cut his nails. After reading other reviews (unfortunately too late), I noticed many customers reporting the same problem. I understand that pets are not always perfect or easy to handle, but that’s exactly why people go to professional groomers. In my experience, this salon does not seem to have groomers who can properly handle normal grooming challenges. The last time I tried to book an appointment, they refused, saying my dog requires a more "professional" groomer and they couldn’t take him during my requested hours (weekends or after 4 PM). What’s confusing is that they had accepted him before without any issue. I do not recommend this grooming salon. I don’t feel it’s safe for animals. A few times my dog came home extremely sleepy, one time I paid for a haircut that wasn’t even done, and another time the haircut looked very poorly done—like an experiment. On top of that, they consistently charged me an extra $10, claiming my small toy poodle "doesn’t listen." Overall, very disappointing experience.

The groomer said i will stop , i will cancel may be 10 times before starting the hair cut. i felt we already decided to stop at middle . i was not surprised she called me 20 min later she , left the hair cut at the middle. acting like she is grooming a tiger instead of the cutest cat in naperville . but i knew she would do it. she probably expected a lamb instead of a cat 🤷🏻‍♂️

Horrible service! I stopped by them once and they offered cat grooming and i said thats great i have two cats i will bring them both for grooming, they gave me business card to call and book and an appointment! I been calling for the past 11 days now over 4 times they say they will pass my number to the grooming team and will call me shortly! Nearly two weeks and no one called and i keep on following with them and the last call i made! She was like sorry all appointments will be after Christmas! They kept me waiting for two weeks chasing them with calls! I could of went to a different place if only they had the decency to call the first time and said they don’t have appointments! Such a disappointment and bad service!

Raven did a very nice job (5 stars) on our Coco but her sister was groomed by another groomer (1 star) and ended up in the Vet Hospital on site for stitches. I'm so upset for my lil girl and the trauma this caused. She has to wear a cone and take meds for 10 days. Sorry PetSmart. Cut was nice but cut was painful!

Pet Salon has Bad service and not a dog friendly staff. We brought our dog Sparkles here for years. Lately, we’ve seen the service level’s drop. We dropped her off today and Corrina was very rude and distant. We picked her up and saw an extra handling fee which we have never seen and were told the nails weren’t able to be done due to our dog moving too much. My gut told me this person wasn’t good with dogs and this proved it, sad she works at a place where that is the population. I asked to have the fee removed and the manager wasn’t happy with the response. Lauren the manager told me it was bad dog behavior and not any issues with their service. I asked for her name and she refused, I guess she forgot it was on their smocks.

We recently moved to Naperville from Chicago. I’ve been taking my Pekingese dog for grooming at a Chicago location for 8 years. My dog is in great health condition, has all vaccines, but she is really anxious whenever I leave her at the groomer or at the vet. If I am there, there is no issue, but if I leave her alone she starts drooling. So, I looked up the closest location and booked an appointment online. I was asked to provide information about my dog, so I left a note saying my dog will drool to not to worry about it, it’s normal and it happens, I believe it’s not the only dog that is anxious at the groomer. I received a call within an hour, a lady telling me if my dog drools they’ll have to call a vet or if I wanted to cancel the appointment. So basically, I was refused service at this location only because my dog is, guess what, anxious at the groomer! Thank you for letting me know where not to ever walk in and spend my money on products and services!

Raven did an excellent job with our pet. She smelled so good and the haircut was certainly a professional cut. I honestly felt that we could have entered her in a dog show. Thanks again and we will be seeing you soon for your professional services.
