The Pawms Pet Resort Avondale

I am beyond frustrated and honestly heartbroken after my experience at Pawms Pet Resort today with my dog, Bodhi. I very clearly asked for an ombré effect on just the tip of the tail. Instead, they dyed his entire tail bright orange. I specifically said multiple times that I did NOT want the whole tail done only the end and they completely ignored that. Then it got even worse. I asked for a teddy bear cut, making it clear I wanted some length left and just a trim. What I got was my dog practically shaved down. This looks NOTHING like a teddy bear cut. It’s honestly shocking how far off it is from what I asked for. I was so upset when I saw him that I actually cried. That’s how bad this experience was. On top of everything, I was told he would be ready at 3:00pm so I could make it to work. He ended up not being ready until nearly 5:00pm and I had to leave work to pick him up. This isn’t even the first time every single time I come here, they are late and completely disregard my time. They assure me it will be done and then it never is. Between the terrible grooming, not listening to basic instructions, and the constant delays, this was an awful experience. I trusted them with my dog, and they completely let me down. I will absolutely not be coming back.

Very nice facility! Very clean, friendly staff, our dogs came home freshly bathed. I was very impressed! 10 out of 10 would recommend to a friend (and the rest of google lol)

I’ve been bringing my dogs to Pawms for boarding and daycare for almost 6 years. The staff are exceptional and caring and my dogs love it.

I would greatly recommend Pawms Avondale to anyone who is looking for grooming or boarding service for their pets. I took my Maltese to Avondale for boarding and day care while I was out of town for a few days and he was playful and interacting with other dogs every day he was there. He typically has separation anxiety but it seems like he had a great time while he was there.

We use Pawms every time we go out of town. Our dog Molly loves to go to "camp". She loves playing at day care. The staff there are great and friendly. Molly always gets bathed before we pick her up. We have never had an issue in all our times, but I have no doubt they would make it right if we did. I highly recommend trusting them with your furry family members.

Horrible experience! Left my dog here for a week & came back to my dog having poop stuck on her bottom. Gave no explanation & offered a free trim service. Won’t be coming back!

I took my dog to Avondale for boarding while I was out of town and my dog loved the experience. He took part in the puppy daycare during the day which he is usually pretty skittish about but he had no issues I’m told. I’m very worrisome of boarding places for my dog after him having caught Kennel Cough at two other boarding places in the Birmingham area but he has now been to Pawms Avondale on three separate occasions and never gotten sick after! I would highly recommend Pawms Avondale to anyone who is looking for Grooming, Daycare, and Boarding in the Birmingham area!
