Gillette Kennels

We absolutely love Gillette. All of the ladies are amazing to our frenchie Louie, especially Tricia. He feels like a king every visit! There’s a punchcard reward system and the rates are reasonable. I’ve never had a problem/weird experience and he visits 8-9 times a year. So grateful this place exists and we have a safe place to leave our little guy.

Mr. Gillette is a seasoned professional dog handler and behavioral specialist. His experience and knowledge is invaluable to those wishing to have well behaved a K-9 companion. The kennel facility is superb and exceptionally maintained.

Brought my new puppy here for training and 6 weeks later it was like night and day. She responded very well and and Kirk built a strong foundation for my puppy and I to follow. She's doing great, I would definitely recommend them if you need training for your fur babies!

Had a friend keep their dog here a while back and the dog was well taken care of but my god the way they treat their employees is HORRENDOUS! They appear overworked and clearly there is minimal management/organization in this operation and after hearing a heated discussion between the owner and someone else (I couldn’t see but I assume an employee) I can see why they’re so understaffed. The owner clearly has anger issues and doesn’t understand how to run a business. When we went to pick the dog up they didn’t know what bed was theirs and then they ‘lost’ it? They found it eventually but overall it was a terrible experience.

Kirk worked with our dog Lucy and completely transformed her behavior. I give the highest recommendation to anyone looking for dog training to bring their dog here. The staff is both knowledgeable and professional.

We boarded my dog here for the first time this week, and it was the best experience! I have a very reactive dog, and the staff at the Kennel were so accommodating + helped me feel at ease knowing I was leaving her in an environment where she would be safe, everyone around her would be safe, and she would still be taken care of. Definitely recommend 🙂

Our dog and I had private lessons with Kirk and the difference in the dog's behavior is night and day. We had been struggling to get him to walk quietly on a leash without pulling or knocking us over. Now we get frequent compliments about our dog's good behavior. Our dog has a genetic behavioral/temperment issue and Kirk has helped us to understand how to interact with him and train him in order to manage the undesirable behaviors and bring out the best in our dog. If you take your dog to Gillette Kennels (for training) you should be open to learning and expect to work with your dog, but if you do you will be happy with the results.
