The Dog Stop - Lexington South

I had a great experience with the dog stop yesterday. I brought my golden doodle who was overdue for a grooming session. The groomer really cared about exactly what my expectations were for the cut and that made me feel a lot better. Cutting the hair on a golden doodle is not fun because it takes so long. When I came to pick him up, he was perfect. Really appreciate the service service and the price was great. I didn’t realize that they also do boarding and training there so if that’s something you need, I would definitely check them out. They also had healthy dog food and KONG toys there.

Friendly staff, easy to drop off and pick up dogs. Really clean play yards. Agility event is also for beginners and older dogs like mine so they did so good! They have four indoor yards and keep dogs separated in sizes and temperaments. My dogs come home clean and pleasantly tired.

I just cannot say enough wonderful things about the knowledgeable and caring staff at The Dog Stop. Penny and Sam are a delight! Our dog was attending daycare at another place and they did not have the understanding of how to manage him. The Dog Stop folks understand dogs, their needs and behaviors, and he is like a new dog now. They also offer enrichment activities like agility, and fetch, and just good old cuddles. I always feel great leaving him there and he runs to the door every time. Grooming with Haley was also a great experience.

If you are looking for a place to take your dog in Lexington, this is THE ONE. Not only do they have cameras in the play areas so you can see your furry baby playing with the others (And if you're a crazy dog mom like me that offers so much peace of mind) they have different enrichment activities everyday, and special treats for them to indulge in! My Little girl had been suffering with separation anxiety, But the minute we walk through those doors she forgets about me and is ready to go play with her furry friends. I couldn't be happier. The staff is amazing. Not only do they know your pup, But they know your name, And they take special care of everyone. The manager Penny is an absolute gem. The entire staff is brag worthy. I researched all over Lexington and I'm so happy that we found the Dog Stop. Stop looking and bring your babies here.

My dogs were boarded for nine days while we were on vacation. We were able to live stream their kennel and check on them. Texts about their well being were promptly answered. We came home to healthy happy fur babies. The staff did an amazing job caring for them during this time. Highly recommend.

Karen is a fantastic groomer. However , The way my dog was treated today. The way I was treated today was appalling. I brought in my Poodle around 1030 to be groomed. I get a call about 6:45 PM stating that they could not groom him because he may have a urinary track infection. As a dog owner, of course I was very worried about him and I got there as quickly as possible. The guy working the cash register, which I’m assuming is the manager charge my card without my permission and I told him I did not plan on paying because he did nothing to my dog except for run the Clippers down his side He said oh well that’s his policy and the rate of my grooming went up $20 to boot my dog not only is I’ll But now looks like his body is full of mange. I’m livid and I will not go back there. I cannot believe the way I was treated and then for them to turn around and charge me. The last picture is how he is supposed to look the previous five were how they sent him home. I’ve never been more angry in my life.😡😡

We took our dog to this grooming place and unfortunately had a really disappointing experience. We tried to explain exactly how we wanted our dog’s haircut, but it seemed like they didn’t really understand or listen to our instructions. The result was a haircut that looked so amateurish that we honestly could have done a better job ourselves at home. The only saving grace was the little tie they put on the dog, which was cute, but definitely not enough to make up for the poor grooming , won’t recommend!
