The dog groomer went above and beyond! My pups hair cut looks wonderful! He came home happy and looking good. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable. The manager Amanda was very helpful. Everyone there seems so sweet and love what they do! I will definitely be coming here for boarding and dog grooming. I cannot brag about this place enough
I have had my dog groomed at Dogtopia for years. When I was interested in boarding her they mentioned that she may not be a good candidate for boarding because of her anxiety. A company that isn’t invested in the wellbeing of pets wouldn’t do that. So, I would like to respond to Elvira’s comment below from a veterinary professionals perspective. A dog that is not used to boarding or used to being at daycare can get stress induced colitis resulting in bloody diarrhea. Even if a dog Is used to it they can still get it. It’s a simple google question. Stress colitis is when anxiety triggers inflammation in the colon. This is not uncommon among dogs And cats that aren’t used to boarding or going to daycare. That sweet dog started having diarrhea and I would venture to say, Dogtopia contacted the owner immediately. It is not the daycare‘s fault that the dog got stress colitis from its time there. I wish pet owners would take more responsibility and accountability about the how and why things happen as opposed to just placing blame. My experience with Dogtopia has always been honest conversations about my dog’s behavior, and as a veterinary professional, I appreciate that.
Everyone is nice and friendly. The owner introduced himself and was really nice. I appreciated him taking the time just to see how things were going with my dogs and just the friendly conversation. My dogs are happy here and well taken care of. It is a peace of mind when you have to be away to know that the dogs are in good hands.
Amazing Dog Daycare Experience! Dogtopia has been an absolute game-changer for me and my pup! From the moment we walked in, the staff was so friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. You can tell they truly care about every single dog that walks through their doors. The facility is super clean, organized, and has a great setup for play, rest, and one-on-one attention. My dog always comes home happy, tired (in the best way), and excited to go back. The webcams are such a fun bonus—I love being able to check in during the day and see my dog having a blast with new friends. The team at Dogtopia goes above and beyond with their customer service. They remember my dog’s name, his little quirks, and always give me updates on how he did. It feels like a second home for him, and that kind of peace of mind is priceless. Highly recommend to any dog parent looking for a trustworthy, loving, and professional daycare! 🐾💛
We have had nothing but excellent service and experience at Dogtopia. The staff know us when we walk in the door. Our pup is always excited to go and thankfully tired when we get home.
My little poodle Teddy loves going to Dogtopia. Whether he’s playing with his friends or getting groomed, he’s always so excited when we pull in the parking lot.
I boarded my 5-year-old Goldendoodle at Dogtopia Louisville December 20th. He was healthy at drop-off. By the evening of December 22 while still in their care, I was contacted and told my dog developed vomiting and bloody diarrhea, and it was pure blood!! That is not normal "stress" and indicates an acute illness that occurred during boarding. Beyond my dog becoming sick, the overall experience was extremely concerning: •They advertise camera access, but cameras shut off when they close, so you cannot see your dog at night and for me the cameras shut off at 4pm and the facility closes at 7pm. And they do not advertise that. •The app is terrible — slow, glitchy, and the webcams barely load. •There are many blind spots, and the outside camera did not work and has been like that for months is what they told me. •The so called trained coach literally ignored my dog and other dogs, I did not see them play with the dogs. They were just walking around and following the "coach" and then I saw one sit on her phone while the dogs did whatever. •On drop-off day, I was told I would receive an email for camera access. I never received it and had to call — they said the email was never sent. •The front desk staff could not answer basic questions and repeatedly responded with "I don’t know" or vague answers. •This was my first time boarding my dog, and when I asked a reasonable question about crate use, the staff member laughed instead of explaining, which was unprofessional and dismissive. •Overall, the staff attitude was consistently poor, unhelpful, and unwelcoming. The day I entered this facility for a meet and greet the energy was off, I did not feel welcomed. I would strongly caution anyone considering boarding here. I would not return and do not recommend this location. My dog spent 2 nights at the hospital and had to come home on meds to heal. It was my first time boarding my dog and the experience was terrible.
