Dog Star in Marion is truly a fantastic place for dog lovers and their furry companions. From the moment you walk in, you can immediately feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The facility is clean, well organized, and thoughtfully designed to make both dogs and their owners feel comfortable. A special mention goes to Sara, who runs Dog Star. She does an amazing job managing the place and clearly has a deep passion for dogs. Sara is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and always takes the time to make sure every dog is well cared for. It’s obvious that she treats every pet like family, and that level of dedication really shows in the way the whole place operates. The staff are attentive and professional, and the dogs always seem happy, active, and well supervised. The space is great for dogs to play, socialize, and burn off energy in a safe environment. What I appreciate most is the level of care and attention given to each dog. Knowing that Sara and her team are watching over them gives pet owners great peace of mind. Overall, Dog Star in Marion is an excellent place for dog daycare and services. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring place for their pets.

We are so pleased with Dog Star. We love the photos they send every day, and they show so much genuine care for our pets. When one of our dogs was ill, they checked in on him, which meant so much to us. It truly feels like they’re not just caring for our dogs—they really care about our dogs. We previously used another doggie daycare that did a great job, but we decided to move closer to home and try someone new, and we couldn’t be happier. These guys are excellent. I would not hesitate to leave my dogs with them. They have also boarded our pets and did a wonderful job with that as well. Definitely five stars!

We boarded our sweet cockapoo, Macie, at Dog Star while we were on spring break, and it was only her second time being boarded. We truly felt she was in the best hands! The facility was spotless, and we loved receiving photos of Macie playing with other dogs and getting plenty of attention from the staff. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was being cared for in such a fun and loving environment. As an added bonus, Macie came home with the cutest goodie box that included a magnet photo of her, dog treats, and Dog Star swag. It was such a special and thoughtful touch! We highly recommend Dog Star for all your pet boarding and daycare needs!

Sarah and her staff are so welcoming! My corgi is always so excited to go see his friends and to know that he has a chance to play throughout the day while I’m working. I know he gets lonely at home, and on the days that I take him to Dog Star, my heart is happy just knowing that he has company. We have also had overnight boarding that has gone very well! Kobe can be a handful, but the staff at Dog Star make him feel welcome and loved. I would recommend Dog Star boarding and dog walking to anyone in our community!

From the moment you do your initial visit, it is obvious this is not just a place where your dog will spend their day…but will have tail-wagging excitement every time they realize they are on the way to Dog Star. Sarah is consultative with new clients to make sure prospective dogs are right for daycare and passionate about creating an environment where the dogs are safe, enriched, have fun and come home tired from a full day of play. Not only are the staff friendly and inviting, but well trained in dog behavior as well as emergency care like canine CPR. Our dog, Harper has been going there for over a year now. We love the personal attention at drop off and pick up and the photos we receive during the day. There is free time indoor and outdoor as well as special treats, holiday photo ops, enrichment opportunities like snuffle mats and treadmill. Sarah and her staff have been our partners in parenting this hairy fur ball and we are very appreciative of everything they do. Harper loves them all!

Dog Star is a star! Sarah provided a home away from home for our Morkie and I couldn't be more grateful. Recently, we needed to board our sweet girl because of a death in the family and we had no worries if our dog would be taken care of. With daily updates and pictures, Sarah and her staff provided peace of mind when we needed it most. Thank you Dog Star.

We absolutely love Dog Star! This is where we take our dog, Lamelo, for doggy day care, and he is always so excited to go. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and truly cares about each dog as if they were their own. They don’t just watch your dog they play with them, help reinforce good manners during downtime, and even offer a treadmill option for extra exercise or high-energy dogs. Lamelo comes home happy, tired, and well cared for every single time.
