As you can see from my photos, my dogs had a great time. The staff is so sweet. And are always kind enough to send us pictures while we're on vacation to let us know that they're okay. The facility is pretty clean and well maintained. All the animals look very happy and content. We've brought them there over the past 3 years and couldn't be happier.
Our little big Saint Bernard is a truly Happy Camper! We love how caring the crew is, always sending us pictures of our dog playing outside. We strongly recommend this place! The dogs have a LOT of play time and you can tell they have a great time while staying there.
We have a 130lb Rottweiler named BarbQue. He absolutely loves going to happy Camper. Anytime I tell him we going he jumps in the car immediately. Once we pull into parking lot he starts jumping around. The staff is the best, they love on Que as if he's family. We left him for boarding upto 10 days with no issues. Staff is always extremely accommodating to our schedule. Not far as cleanliness I've seen several reviews bad mouthing the facility. My take is all common areas are clean, no I wouldn't eat of the floor but you can definitely tell it's constantly being maintained. Last thing, Prices are the best in town.
Pretty good boarding we've used for about 4 yrs now. The staff is very kind and they seem to be good with dogs of many types. I like the fact that they tell you, upon making reservations, what immunizations your dog needs before boarding. They even go the extra mile of obtaining the records from your vet. The place is not as clean as I think it could be but it's not filthy. After all, it IS a dog boarding facility and my four-legged baby NEVER comes back with fleas or anything with which he didn't come. I will continue to use HC for my boarding needs without hesitation.
We love Happy Camper! Our lab mix has stayed there quite a few times and she is always so happy to go. They have multiple fenced in areas, some shaded, for different play groups or individual play. The boarding kennels are a nice size, and they provide lots of attention. They offer many different home made treats, and they send you pictures while you are away. The staff is very friendly and relaxed, and they keep the facility nice and clean. Their fees are very reasonable and they even take some dogs on field trips.
We love happy camper! Our pup gets to get all of his energy out in a safe and fun environment. Their hours are amazing and you can't beat the price. We take Duncan twice a week and it's his favorite thing. As soon as we pull in the driveway he freaks out. We love that they know him by name and periodically send us photos of what he's doing.
I used Happy Camper for several years and my pup always seemed very happy to go. One day last year when I picked him up he was limping. I figured he'd just played too hard. That was a $700 sprain, after x rays and treatment. But recently I took him in for a few hours while I had some workmen at my house. When I picked him up he was wet. The owner was there and I mentioned how wet he was. He just blew me off and didn't give me much of a reason why the dog was so wet. Once I got him home I noticed that he had two spots on his head that were bleeding. This was on a Friday. I treated him and watched him over the weekend. He had a lot of mucus from his right eye. Got him into the vet on Monday. Treated with antibiotics. At this point I went to Happy Camper and asked what the hell happened. The owner told me that my dog was bleeding from his tongue! And the reason he was so wet was because they had to wash all the blood off. I was furious. Why hadn't they told me he was bleeding from his tongue? I got the run around from the owner and no real answers. He asked if "some free daycare would help". No. The truth would help. Telling me that my dog was bleeding at the time would have helped. My dog wasn't getting better and his nostril was full of dry boogers. Took him back to the Vet and he was diagnosed with neurogenic "dry eye", meaning that a superficial nerve above his eye was damaged and right eye and nostril won't produce lubrication EVER again. He will be on 2 kinds of eye drops daily for the rest of his life. Greatly increased risk of corneal abrasions. I suspect that my 25 pound dog was attacked by a bigger dog. I trusted Happy Camper to take care of my baby, but instead he was put in a situation where a bigger dog was able to attack him. I was not told about any of it, which means either no one was watching or they saw and didn't want to admit fault. I am furious. I do not recommend Happy Camper to anyone. They broke my trust and now my sweet little boy has a life long condition. The medications are $100 a month and he hates getting eye drops, which I have to give him twice a day. I will never take him back to Happy Camper.
