Pappy's Pet Lodge - Roanoke

I have trusted in the wonderful staff at Pappy's for over 5 years. Rocky Jo has gone from grooming only visits to adding in full-day daycare. It warms my heart to see how excited he gets just driving up in the morning. Thank you to everyone for being so kind and caring. Rocky Jo is living his best life and you guys are an important part of it!

I want to share an important concern regarding Pappy's Pet Lodge in Roanoke, TX. Recently, I discovered that the facility is dealing with a serious rodent infestation and other "critters'. This raises health and safety concerns for both the pets being boarded there and for our community. If you are considering using this facility, I strongly recommend you visit in person first and ask questions about their sanitation and pest control measures. Until this issue is resolved, it may be safer to look at alternative boarding or daycare options. The ceiling tiles are falling down due to the amount of feces and there is running "water" out of the ceiling, over the insulation, onto the floors and pet pens. Our pets deserve safe, clean environments, and it’s important we hold local businesses accountable for proper care standards. Pics are from the week of Aug 17, 2025.

The people are all friendly enough and seem to genuinely care about the dogs. Having said that, I would be remiss if I didn't also mention that the last two times my dog came home sick with Bordatella like symptoms. Not sure I will go back.

I had to leave my sweet baby for the weekend and he has never been to a kennel since we adopted him 2 years ago. The staff were so friendly and so kind to him. The pictures I received with him and his new friends looked like he was so happy and having a wonderful time!! If I could give 10 stars I would for sure!!! Thank you so much Pappys!!!!

We trust Pappy's to look after our dogs while away and they always deliver. The webcams are addicting and give us an easy way to check in on our pups.

Staff is amazing and you can tell right away how much they love dogs, I was very calm about leaving Logan there, we were on a road trip and the event we were headed to didn’t allow pets, they took all his paperwork(vaccines) and took him in, very friendly staff and reasonable prices, picture is of Logan

The only negative part of Pappy's is my dog is starting to like them better than me! She loves playing with all the other dogs and the staff is amazing. Besides that they are insanely accommodating and easy to deal with!
