Dog Days Daycare & Boarding
Address offers a reliable and caring environment for dog boarding, particularly noted for its professional and attentive staff who treat each dog as part of their family. The facility is well-suited for older dogs, providing a calm and structured setting that ensures their comfort and safety. The cleanliness and professionalism of the service have been consistently praised, making it a trusted choice for many pet owners.
While the experience is generally positive, it's important to note that the facility has specific guidelines, which may not suit all dogs, especially those still adjusting to a daycare environment. The staff's dedication to maintaining a safe and orderly space is evident, though new visitors might encounter a slightly rushed greeting due to the high number of dogs being cared for.

We have been bringing Sherman to the Grand Ave location since 2020. I cannot say enough good things about this place! The folks who work there are like Sherman’s extended family and I especially appreciate and trust their expertise with the interactions with all of the dogs. We previously had a lovely hound who thrived at the Vandalia location years ago. Sherman is always ready to go and equally happy to come home. A success in my book!
Best dog day care for small or sheepish dogs. We’ve been sending our boy there for 8 years and it’s been nothing but a bright spot for him and us. Very professional, caring, safe, and clean.
If you have an older dog (9+) this location will probably work well for you. I was told this location is for "senior dogs". Most dogs will not work at this location and there is a very strict compliance process that must be adhered to if you want your dog to be accepted. *Response to Dog Days* Thanks for the response, I respectfully disagree with the assessment that some dogs aren't meant for daycare, especially those who are still learning how to be in daycare and may need time to adjust in the daycare setting.
I dropped off my dog for the first time and I felt that the woman who greeted me was a bit rude. I arrived and, understandably, a lot of the dogs started barking, and she said "This is why I wanted you come to earlier." I understand that she was a bit overwhelmed with 26 dogs and just herself, but I felt that she was blaming me for coming a bit later (as we had initially agreed via email). I think if she really wanted me to come earlier, it should've been clearer in our initial exchange that they require this for their own staffing reasons. I felt the entire exchange was very passive aggressive and have not encountered this at other dog day cares in the area.
I am reviewing the grooming, although my friend brings his dog here for the daycare and loves it. We brought our 11 year old black lab in for a bath and brushing and the works. We figured she could use a basic clean up. I kid you not, when we picked her up, her coat looked like she could’ve been starring in a dog coat commercial! It was so shiny and healthy, and multiple people at the dog park noticed the difference! They were really good with her since she was nervous (never been here before), but it was amazing. And the price was incredibly reasonable. We were absolutely delighted.
Since our Alaskan Klee Kai was a puppy, we have sent her regularly to Dog Days Grand. From this early experience, Kaya became socialized to other dogs and the kind humans at this location. Kaya is now 9 years old, and Stephanie and the crew at Dog Days have become her second family. And it is a great place for grooming too; she sheds and the play day/grooming option has been a great option.
Got into town and found I could not include my little girl Ginger. They took her in on short notice for 5 days. After dropping her off and talking to Dean the next morning I had no worries after that. She had PLENTY of play time with others her size and again PLENTY of human interaction. Will use them again when ever I am up in the area. Thanks Dog Days!!
