Central Bark is an amazing place for puppy learning and socialization! I’ve been taking my dog every week since he was 9 weeks old and the progress he has made is incredible. They have such a knowledgeable, kind, and dedicated staff so you can feel confident leaving your pups in their hands. The owner/manager Tayna is so professional and kind and always advocates what’s best for the dogs. One of the staff members, Abby, was so sweet and knowledgeable. She worked hard with my pup on learning how to share and had so much success in just one session. If you are looking for a place that will provide your dog with the same love care and attention as you, I seriously cannot recommend central bark enough!
Our dog loved going and I really wanted Central Bark to work out for our puppy’s daycare and boarding, but we ultimately decided to pull her out due to a lack of professional communication and a growing concern for her safety. It started with small things—the wrong dog’s photo was uploaded to her profile and, despite being pointed out, it was never corrected. Vaccinations weren’t documented correctly. More concerning was the lack of transparency regarding pricing; whenever I asked for clarification, the staff seemed frustrated and impatient rather than helpful. The breaking point was a specific staff member making condescending comments under her breath about our dog. Seeing that level of frustration from a caregiver made us feel like our puppy was no longer in a safe or positive environment. To make matters worse, when we withdrew her, there was zero follow-up from management. It felt as though they are indifferent to whether their clients stay or go. Very disappointing experience.
We absolutely love Central Bark for our two very energetic puppies! Daycare helps socialize them and you can tell they have had a fun day. The staff is the absolute best and are so sweet and kind!
We love Central Bark. We have a senior rescue who is very anxious and this is by far the best place we have brought her. I think she is starting to feel more comfortable. She walked in the other day excited when the employees said her name. They also are super communicative and do not mind me asking for a ton of pics during her stays!!
Central Bark is a special kind of business and they understand how much pets mean to their owners. It is a place that you feel like, "I get to bring my dog here!!". Our fella has many friends there and he looks forward to his one day per week. Even when we moved to Kershaw County, we make the trip one day a week so he can be a part of the CB experience. We board him there when we cannot take him on trips and you just won't find a more dedicated, compassionate, and caring staff for your dog.
I’d give a negative star if I could because we didn’t even make it past the front door without being turned away. As a dog mom, I was meticulous about finding the perfect daycare for my pup. After calling and setting up her first day we were all set. My dog had extreme anxiety in the car but this place felt right so a little further away was worth it. HOWEVER, after the high anxiety 24 minute drive I was turned away because my dogs vaccines were just updated the day before, despite being vaxed for 6 years having them updated the day before apparently meant she couldn’t be there. I had to wait 48 hours. So now my poor dog had to endure immediately another 24 minutes in the car, not to mention making me late for work. We will never be back to say the least.
This place is an amazing facility! The staff here are beyond helpful and so sweet. Tidwell Mason and Layla Rose absolutely love going to daycare here. They even enjoyed their 5 day sleepover. While my husband and I were several states away, we had peace at mind knowing our babies were being well cared for. The experience here at Central Bark was and is completely opposite of what we endured last year from the other boarding facility. This is definitely the place to bring your babies NO DOUBT! Thank you Central Bark for taking such good care of our babies!
