Our puppies first nail trimming and they were so caring and patient with her! Family owned and operated n they treat your pets just like their own. I would HIGHLY recommend The Hairy Dog Grooming to anyone who has pets!

i’m moved to the Waynedale area and seen this groomer. called and made an appt. i explained that i wanted my mini malshi a inch long and don’t shave. when i picked her up she was shaved very uneven cut and looks very bald in the face even cut her eyebrows . i also took my goldendoodle there with her i asked to leave her at least an inch. she was shaved too. he left part of the tail long and didn’t shave her back legs. very disappointed because we went over this at drop off. i was concerned when i went in because the place was dirty. i didn’t think it was a pleasant experience at all. i will not be returning.

My last 2 appointments he did terrible. I told him not to shave my dog, when I got there my dog was shaved. He claims my dog was knotted up, which I thought at that time he should have called me. Went back 3-4 weeks later, same instructions. This time you couldn't even tell my dog was groomed, all he did was washed n brushed him out n charged full price. He seem to always been in a rush, doesn't seem to enjoy his job.

Called in to get my dogs haircut, when I approached the shop they said it would only be a minute and to wait inside. Confused I was there for 2 mins and they came out and said that will be $10 for your dogs nails being trimmed. I then said I called for her haircut just five minutes ago and you said to bring her in. They said I just have not heard you and then demanded me to pay $10. I said I am not paying for something I didn’t request. At that moment the younger heavy set kid screams well go somewhere else then. I said I will not be coming back here again and then his dad has the audacity to come out to my car and corner me in front of my car pushing his gut into me saying I owe his son an apology . He then pushes his gut further into Me provoking me to where I push him away from me and then he says I placed hands on him. These two are about as close as nut jobs as you could think. I have had my dogs hair cut there a couple times and it’s $40 a haircut and the one time my wife goes in they charged her $60 because they knew I wasn’t the one picking her up. They are completely unprofessional and I hope no one goes near their business or supports them because they are absolutely terrible!!

I took all 5 of my dogs there. The owner presented himself as a loving guy. I was nervous to leave them with a man, but thought they seemed really good. I was so wrong my shih tzu was in the cage when we walked in the son opened the cage and hank jumped straight out of the cage and into my boyfriend's arms. Climbed up his neck and cried .. he has never done this before. I asked for his collar back they couldn't find it . I asked what happened to my dog. The owner said hank got a little rough with me so I got rough back and showed him who was boss in this building.. he beat my dog. I took my dog to the vet and hank had bruises on his ribs and back. Whatever you do..DO NOT take your dogs to him. He is abusive if they don't do exactly what he wants them to do. Weeks later the owner called me and said he would groom my oldest for free. She was 17 years old at the time I told him you will NEVER get another one of my dogs in your shop for ANY reason and hung up.. no one ever does anything for free I believe he was going to harm her also..

My sweet Louis loves to go see Stu at The Hairy Dog! Stu treats him and all the other dogs so well. He doesn't just groom the dogs but goes a step further to make the dogs feel comfortable and they leave looking great and smelling wonderful! It is obvious that everyone at the Hairy Dog cares about each pet that comes in. Thank you Stuart for taking such great care of my fur baby!! We will definitely be back soon!

I called a head on a Sat and he said they would be there for an hour and a half that was at 11:30. I took my to chiwouwa to get her toenails trimmed. I was told to stay in the front. She'd be alright. Then I heard her screaming and sounds like she was getting hurt. Then the son came out and said she pooped all over the table. And he went back in with a towel. When they brought her out she was bleeding from all 4 feet. He said put the ten on the table and take her home put her in a kennel and put baking soda or corn starch on them. Then he made a ridiculous comparison about a baby that would bite you everyday what would you do you them. And he also said if you went to a bar and someone hit you everytime you went in what would you do. What stupid questions, after abusing my dog then telling me to keep the towel. How rude we will not ever be back. My dog already had issues with getting her toenails clipped now it may be impossible. Her toenails are cut clear up to the quick and bloody. He told me to bring her back and he would work with her. If thats his way of doing that. No way. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
