Town & Country Pet Grooming

I brought my 1 year old golden retriever in to be groomed. I dropped him off at a little before 9am and I requested that they deshed him as much as possible and was told that drying is the most important for that. At 11:25am I received a message that he was done and then 4 minutes later I received another message to come get him because he is loud. I tried not to put to much into the shortness of the text as I feel that the tone of a conversation can be easily misinterpreted over text. I picked up my boy about 8 minutes later. When I arrived I was told that my dog has behavior problems, he’s loud, he barks too much, he peed in the kennel and that he needs to be trained. (I took a deep breath, I have no idea what this lady has going on in her life and maybe she just frustrated) I told her that we don’t put him in a kennel, but he has had training and he doesn’t have accidents but he does bark when he has to go outside to go potty. She replied with a snippy, really where did he get trained, cause you can’t get a vet or a groomer to take a dog that behaves like that. At this point I paid for full price for the service and as I helped my boy into the car, I noticed his tail and back of his legs were WET! If you don’t like dogs you shouldn’t be a dog groomer. Super frustrating and we won’t be going back.

I give Ellen 5 stars! My Jace (King Charles Cavalier ) has been going to her for grooming for 12 years. He comes home looking fabulous! I bring him there at 7 and pick him up at 3. Ellen makes sure he gets out of the kennel every hour or two. He has no issues hanging out for 8 hours every time he goes there he is always happy never scared. I would recommend her to everyone!

I have been going to Ellen and Dave for years, even taking my childhood dog to see Ellen more than 25 years ago. I have nothing but love and respect for their skills in grooming and handling of the dogs and cats. The space is clean and they have a way of keeping the dogs calm and relaxed during their stay. Ellen and Dave will work around my schedule, and they always seem to care about my dog and myself on a personal level. I consider them my friends and trust my dog with them 100%. I'll never go anywhere else!

My mom always brought my childhood dog to Town & Country when I was growing up and Ellen always did a fantastic job. Now days, I’m have my own dog and I still bring her to Ellen. She still cares just as much today as she did then! Best groomer ever!! Love Ellen and Dave! You guys are great!

Ellen has been grooming our dogs for the better part of five years. Never once have, we had an issue with her style, with her care, or compassion with her very precious, standard, poodle and miniature poodle. These are difficult dogs to groom because the cat can be complex, and she always gets it right 100% of the time. Our dogs look forward to going and being with Ellen. We have never been disappointed.

Ellen and Dave do such an amazing job! My dog used to get so stressed about being groomed, but not so with Ellen and Dave (picture of my happy dog after a recent grooming!). They have a way with animals that keeps the whole shop calm and relaxed. I have a physical disability, and they're very thoughtful and always help me to my car with my dog and dog food. I'm grateful for their kindness and services.

We have been taking our dogs to Ellen for the last 20 years. She provided the professional grooming service that I expected at a competitive price. I am so pleased with Ellen and Dave, highly recommend them.
