Petco Grooming

My first time there. I've been going to PetSmart for 20 years but they started charging extra if you don't drop off or pick up your dog within 15 minutes. I was really surprised at how excellent the grooming was. Especially the ears. And my dog's tail was done perfectly. I won't be going back to PetSmart again.

This pet grooming is always understaffed. There is no one at the desk to take your dog. When you collect I had to go into the grooming room to attract anyone's attention. My biggest complaint about Petco grooming is that they always charge moe than their advertised rate. For example, I booked the $65 grooming. When I got my bill they insisted on additional charges of $7 for grooming supplies and $10 to brush or comb out the grooming, plus an extra charge for a long haired dog ( my dog is not long haired)(they claimed I had signed up for a long haired dog on the internet reservation. Also I would say my grooming was inexperienced with large areas of shaved sections as if the groomer didn't really know how to use the clippers. All in all a mediocre experience although less expensive than my private groomer. All things considered I'm not thinking I will go again.

Dorian has groomed my miniature poodle twice now and she is amazing. I highly recommend her. She is professional, helpful and takes her time with you. Both times I have left extremely impressed with her work. Honestly, after going to several more expensive and pretentious grooming salons in River Oaks she is a hidden gem.

Brittany did such a great job with my sweet Lady! She looked adorable, and I was so pleasantly surprised when she came home with two little bows in her hair (we’ve been to other groomers and this was the first time she ever had bows in her hair) Highly recommend!

Jeni always has groom my pup a couple of times and has done a great job. She always seem so caring and patient with my pup.

The River Oaks Petco grooming salon always does a superb job on my fur baby! They have worked with my miniature poodle since his first bath at 12 weeks old and we have gone nowhere else. He has a special relationship with his groomer, Dorian, who created his signature "bunny" style (fluffy ears and tail). We receive compliments all the time and refer other pet parents who want to replicate his look. Prices are reasonable for the work. If you are a Vital Care Premier member, you get extra discounts!

I cannot recommend Sadie highly enough! She has been grooming my dog, Raquel, for the past year, and every visit is a wonderful experience. Sadie's attention to detail and genuine love for animals truly shine through her work. Raquel always comes home looking fantastic, with a happy wagging tail. Sadie is incredibly patient and gentle, ensuring that Raquel feels comfortable and safe throughout the grooming process.
