PetSmart Grooming

Horrible grooming on Johnston. On the app says they open at 7 which is perfect so I can drop my dog off before work but I get there and there is nobody there. I asked a worker and he’s like yea they usually get there late like 8. Why say you open at 7 if you really come in for 8???? They’ll definitely be getting a call

Scheduling my appt online was super easy. Go to drop my dog off & was told she had to take her lunch break & my dog would have to go in a kennel until she got back. No warning. Then they only clipped one paw of claws & left the rest for me to do. The appt schedule is my reason for 2 stars. I planned my afternoon around that appt.

Certain workers are rude... You should not ask a customer to move out of the way to get an item for the customer who's more important because they are purchasing a NEW PET

A dog salon that only charges $52 and can make a next day appointment… It was too good to be true. Before they even held my little 9 pound Havanese, the alleged groomer, Allure (sp?) told me, "you know it’s all about the dog’s comfort, and some dogs don’t like to be groomed." Well duh, of course… what dogs do like to be groomed? He’s just a year old, but this was not his first grooming. The other groomer had no problem. (I should have scheduled his second grooming with the same person at Dupuy’s in New Iberia, but there is a long wait for appointments. Now I see why. They are professional and experienced, quite unlike these amateurs at Petsmart.) Long story short, they refused to groom my little guy. Apparently they’re paid by the hour, so if they send dogs away, they have a slower day and still make the same amount of money. That must be why real groomers have an extended waiting time for appointments, and these jokers can take any dog at just about any time of the day. I’ve had dogs that require grooming for over 20 years. I keep them well combed and brushed so that they are in excellent condition to be groomed. These people at Petsmart said, "we couldn’t even comb him." That is absolutely ridiculous. If I can comb him daily, certainly a so-called professional dog groomer, as a matter fact three groomers, can comb him! They just prefer to sit around and make the same income. It’s worth the wait and possibly a few extra dollars to go to a real groomer and not deal with this ridiculous, lazy behavior.
