Bark Avenue Pet Salon & Resort

Any groomer worth their salt knows that you are not supposed to shave a Pomeranian! I have been taking my dog to Bark Avenue his whole life (7 years) and he was always trimmed and groomed well. This is horrible! I had to cancel yesterday and did not give 24 hours notice (again first time in 7 years) and they did waive the 35 dollar fee, after much discustion. But charged me 85.00 for this horrible job!! I will never take my boy back there! The smell in the entrance way was also horrible. The second photo is what my beautiful boy usually looks like .

Our dog Bear absolutely loves going to Bark Ave! He runs in like he owns the place! 🤣. We are so lucky to have Shantell and staff available for grooming, daycare and overnight stays. They are amazing!

My pups love to head to the groomer! The closer we get to Bark Avenue the more excited they seem. Shantelle does a great job and treats them with care.

Chantel did an amazing job on my puppies yesterday. They look and feel great. I'm so pleased with how it all went and my dogs are so fancy now!

I will NEVER be bringing my dog back to this place. First off, I have a Mini Australian Shepherd Shitzu mix puppy (4 months old). When I took her into bark avenue, she looked as she does in the first picture. I asked for her coat to be cut to about half length, for her face to be trimmed up, and for her feet to be trimmed up as well. Instead of doing this, they buzz cut my entire dog, except for her tail which is still long haired and untouched, unevenly cut her face and overall made an Australian shepherd puppy look like a poodle with maybe a half inch of hair in Wyoming winter. On top of all of this, I messaged bark avenue prior to the appointment for a quote (35-45) and was charged a whopping $75 for them to butcher my dog.

This was our second time bringing our dog here and unfortunately this experience was not as great as the first one. Our dog has very fluffy ears and they were not trimmed very evenly. This I could overlook as the rest of him looked fine. However, a couple days after his appointment I notice something in his ear. It was a cotton ball!! If he hadn’t been laying at the angle he was I’m not sure how long it would have been there. Very unprofessional and unsafe.

Shantelle is the kindest groomer I have ever interacted with. I called on Tuesday and she was able to get my dog in that Thursday. She quoted me what I paid for. His cut was exactly what I asked for. Teddy is a very timid pup but when I picked him up he was super happy. Thanks again! I will definitely be bringing by again.
