Petco Grooming

Not the first time taking my dog here but I will say might be the last. Was informed that while the grooming was being performed my dog’s ear was clipped (said it wasn’t bleeding but had obvious scab) while paying for the service I could hear my dog yelling as the were bringing her to me. I understand they can be dramatic but not like that and wasn’t informed about that situation while I heard it all, I decided to just leave. Extremely rude staff, asked if they sold a product and was told "if you don’t see it then I guess we don’t have it" that’s no way to respond to a customer.

Lupe did a great job as she always does grooming both of our Yorkies. My issue is with the extra $10 per dog for Shave, Brushout - the "Shave and Brushout" should be included with the Grooming haircut and bath - my dogs are groomed regularly and neither one had any mats!!! The Materials Fee should also be included in Grooming. Petco should be upfront with their grooming charges and disclose all extra fees!!!

Groomers were friendly and helpful. Our Papillon looked great after her trim. Our Jack Russel had his nails trimmed. He was guarding one of his paws and the groomer was very patient with him. Thank you!

Unfortunately our dog was injured during the grooming process and no one told us anything until I called. I was then told they didn’t know how it happened and assume it must’ve been when he was jumping onto or off of the grooming table. It seems like this type of thing is bound to happen if they’re making dogs jump onto those high metal tables with sharp edges. There should really be some steps for the big dogs that can’t be picked up. They also forgot to clip one of my dogs dew claws. An otherwise good grooming was just not worth whatever safety issues are going on. Overall just not a good experience and won’t be returning.

Lupe does a good job with Sadie and Austin. But Zach went above with Maverick. He knew it was important to us to have Mav's face groomed this time as his hair was covering his eyes. When Zach realized that Mav wasn't going to let him do it, he reached out to me to see if it was okay if his boss helped. That meant a lot to me as he knows how nervous Maverick is around girls. Thank you Zach.

I’m extremely dissatisfied with the full bath and groom my dog received. The cut was uneven, and they completely shaved his bottom, which was unnecessary and cruel. Now he’s so uncomfortable, constantly squirming and acting unlike himself. I trusted this place with my pet’s care, and instead he came home distressed and in pain. This shows a complete lack of professionalism, skill, and compassion. No pet owner should have to go through this, and no animal should be treated this way. I would strongly advise others to think twice before bringing their pets here.
