It's A Dog's World

As the owner of a dog with extreme anxiety, I truly cannot say enough about the Groomers. Over the years, I’ve tried numerous groomers—including veterinary offices that offer sedation—and none of them were able to fully groom my pup. We were even told he couldn’t be safely sedated enough to complete the process. Then we found It's a Dog's World. They have successfully groomed him drug-free since day one—something I honestly didn’t think was possible. That alone speaks volumes about their patience, skill, and genuine care for the animals they work with. We’ve been bringing our dogs here for over 9 years—starting with our teacup Yorkie (who has since passed), our empathetic Australian Shepherd mix, and our very high-anxiety Shih Tzu/Pomeranian mix. Every experience has been consistently positive. For a training-based establishment where groomers naturally come and go, their ability to maintain such a high level of consistency, compassion, and quality is truly impressive. The service is always reliable, and the care they provide sets a standard that should be admired across the industry. I’m incredibly grateful to have found them.

I’m really disappointed with my recent experience here. After my dog’s grooming appointment, I noticed a cut/razor burn on his paw that has turned into an ongoing issue. He has been licking it nonstop for the past three weeks, and it’s clearly causing him discomfort and not healing properly. What’s most frustrating is that it seems like the groomer was aware something happened but chose not to inform me. Typically, when a clipper causes a razor burn, there’s a noticeable reaction, so it’s hard to believe this went unnoticed. Had I been told at pickup, I could have treated it immediately and possibly avoided it getting worse. Instead, I’ve had to manage this on my own, and now it looks like I’ll need to take him to the vet, which means additional cost and stress for both of us. Based on other reviews, I’m not confident the business will take responsibility or help cover the expense. I understand accidents can happen, but transparency and honesty are extremely important—especially when it comes to the health and safety of pets. Not disclosing an injury is unacceptable. I would not recommend this place based on my experience.

They don’t actually teach groomers how to style dogs and do breed specific hair cuts. Just the basic kennel cut with a teddy bear head. They just teach the very basics. If your looking for more advanced grooming education this is not the place.

The staff were fantastic in grooming our three Aussies. Very friendly and accommodating, and the dogs look wonderful!

They clipped dog nails for free but it is good to at least tip. The staff is friendly and helpful

I take my pups to get groomed here and love the prices and am happy with the work. You have to be mindful this is a grooming school. Sometimes there are small issues but for the price I can’t beat it and my dog loves going there. They always listen and try to do their best to your specifications. It’s affordable, staff is nice, and my dog enjoys her getaway there.
