I always take my dogs to Ideal Pet Grooming. Tracey is wonderful with my dogs. Their summer cut is spot on for a warm Christmas afternoon. Nails are trimmed nicely, and customer service is excellent. I have a small mixed breed dog and a Labradoodle that I bring in for grooming regularly. I highly recommend bring your pups here for great service.

I highly recommend Ideal Pet Grooming and Daycare. I have used them for boarding and they’ve been grooming my two dogs for baths and haircuts for over a year now. Every visit has been wonderful. The staff is friendly and treats my fur babies with so much love and care. My dogs always come out looking amazing and happy! The facility is clean and calming, making the whole experience great. I don't even know what our dog would look like without Mr. Sheldon. We have a rescue dog who is feisty and will fight for his life at the groomer's, and somehow Mr. Sheldon can always make him look good. We don't live in Houston anymore but we make an appointment with Mr. Sheldon every single time we visit because no one can handle our dog with love (and quick hands) like he does. Worth every penny! Finding a groomer who can safely deal with our dog is extremely stressful and having Ideal Pet Grooming as a reliable place is a gift.

Beware of the lack of fee transparency! I have been bringing my dog here for over a year because I love supporting black owned businesses and Traci always does a phenomenal job. During my last visit I was charged for a "clean face" add on for the first time. When I questioned the extra charge, I was told that the owner recently started charging this as an additional fee on top of the basic groom. I reluctantly paid after the cashier demanded I pay after I expressed that I was not told about this change upfront, nor was it on the website as an add on. Had I been told about the new policy when I dropped my dog off, I may have consented to the additional fee. But, it wasn’t until after I came to pick him up and was rung up, that I was made aware. They have lost me as a customer because of the lack of transparency and accountability.

I took my dog here for a bath only with a sani clip because my regular groomer had an emergency. A sani clip if for shaving of genital areas only. My dog has a very thick coat and I particularly requested to be sure he was fully dried, especially his ears. When I was called to pick him up she (Tracey) told me his ears were "badly matted" and he needs to be groomed soon. My dog has been to his regular groomer every week for the past three weeks for a bath so there’s no way he was "badly matted" Rather than taking time to fully dry his thick coat she decided to thin them out WITHOUT permission to cut in any form. After picking him up and getting home I realized how she chopped his ears up. One side particularly worse than the other. The day before I had just taken a video of him to show his vet pertaining to treatment for allergies and you can clearly see how full his ears were and he’s not matted. NEVER did I authorize cutting or dematting as this is not a paper of a bath service and there’s an extra charge. I requested to speak to the owner. She had me send photos and agreed that her groomer Tracey messed his ears up and initially offered for me to bring him back to allow someone to shape his ears up. I refused that offer. She then offered a $20 credit for next visit and I also refused. Finally she offer a $20 cash refund as I paid cash for the service. I am very disappointed! I also requested my $10 tip be refunded. Never have I taken my dog anywhere for bath services and he comes back chopped up!!!
