Lucky Dog Pet Retreat & Spa

I can’t say enough great things about this dog pet retreat and spa! From the moment you walk in, you can tell they truly care about every dog that comes through their doors. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and treats each pet like their own. The grooming services are top-tier—my dog Braxton always comes back looking amazing, clean, and happy. 🐶💙✨

I took my goldendoodle in last week following a very long road trip. I asked and paid for the full groom. 140.00, and I added a 20%tip on top of that. When I picked her up, she was so excited and ready to go so I didn’t look her over closely. The cut was very cute, but after we left I noticed the ears were not cleaned, and the hair on the ears was still very oily. I also noticed they didn’t trim her paws and the hair was very thick between her toes. They also failed to trim her tail at all, which had some mats left in it. I called the salon and just got a recording, I sent pictures of this to the person I had been texting regarding drop off and pick up, and as of yet have gotten no response from anyone. It just seems very unprofessional and I will not be returning.

Nicole & the entire staff at Lucky Dog genuinely care, with which they treat our dog as good as my family does. They take their time to insure the grooming is done right! Stetson always come back clean, fresh and smelling so good. The ambiance here is always inviting and comfortable, as Nicole, and staff members are always there with a smile to greet you. Nicole also steps in to help out when needed, which speaks volume when the owner comforts your pup on his first visit, as change of environment can be scary for your pooch, she didn’t hesitate to get involved. We have been back since, and Stetson strolls right in like he owns the place, which makes me so happy, and comfortable that he is in a safe and healthy space where I can trust and rely on the entire team over at Lucky Dog! If you’re looking for a loving and amazing new dog place for literally all your needs, this is the place. It truly is a community that is honest, and genuinely cares about your fur babies! Lucky Dog has taken care of our pit mix, Wilson, on multiple occasions. He's a bit extra and they go out of their way to make him comfortable and accommodate his high maintenance personality. We greatly appreciate RJ and all the staff! We won't consider any other place for boarding. Thank you !

Tux has only ever been to Lucky Dog Pet & Spa these last 5 years due to their continued exceptional services. I love knowing that he can be groomed, socialized, & boarded all in the same place & with continuous care. And if we ever want to check and see how he is doing, they provide cameras for us to see. Tux is always happy after a visit & that is all we could ask for. Thank You LDP&S. We wouldn’t know what to do without you. 🐾

You know that you’ve found the right groomer when your dog greets the groomer with eager jumps and tons of kisses. We have been taking our standard poodle to Lucky Dog since he was a few months old and we would not dream of taking him anywhere else. Shawnda is his groomer and she expertly creates any look that we share with her, and is great at explaining to me how each particular cut will need to be grown out or change our home grooming routine. I love it that she is great with pets AND their owners!!! Lucky Dog makes it easy to create recurring appointments so that we are guaranteed appointments with Shawnda exactly when needed. They send me a text when he is ready and I appreciate that they offer doggy day care for the days when I cannot pick him up until later. I have not used the boarding services at Lucky Dog yet, but you can be assured that I will be taking him there if we ever need to. 10/10 recommend Lucky Dog for loving care of your pup!

Again Lucky Dog, is THE BEST dog grooming service I’ve found here in San Antonio! They are so friendly and professional at the same time!!! My Golden Doodle LOVES to go there, and so do we!!! They go out of their way to make us feel like part of a family/community!!!
