Ellie's Snip N' Clip

We are OVER THE MOON with the experience we had with Petra & her team with our 8MO goldendoodle. Our puppy had a horrible experience with another local groomer (hint: not at all Quality grooming...) that left her traumatized about combing, brushing, nail clipping, and riding in the car. Ellie's Snip 'n Clip is a few blocks from our home, and in easy walking distance, so we thought we'd cautiously check it out. The key word there is "cautiously" -- we visited 4 times before our pup's first appointment, once on our own, three times with our girl. Petra was so patient and understanding with us throughout. Our pup was able to play with other dogs and the crew of very competent groomers before her full grooming today. Petra knew I was anxious, and sent me videos of how things were going throughout. When I picked her up a few hours later, she was having so much fun she didn't even really notice that I'd come in (a HUGE contrast from her running to me and shaking after the last nightmare). This is clearly a professionally, ethically run grooming salon that aims to build genuinely caring, longterm relationships with clients. Our puppy is happy, looks & feels wonderful, and it was half the cost of "the bad place." If there were a hundred stars, we'd give them all!

What a great experience! I was desperate to find a groomer who would take my dog in since our usual groomer would not fit us in for another month. I called Saturday morning expecting to book an appointment later this week and to my pleasure they told me to come in today. Good price, caring, compassionate and knowledgeable service. I was blown away by the quick communication and the text updates I got when I was being an anxious dog mom! We loved our experience and can’t wait to come back in 6 weeks for the next one! I’ve been going to have Petra groom my doggies for years and years. Petra is very compassionate and loves all of her little clients. She’s excellent at what she does small, medium, large short, fat. tall she knows her stuff!

We have a long coated german shepherd who can be pretty nervous around new people. Not only did he receive an incredible grooming– the best we’ve ever seen– but they also introduced him with care, gentleness and understanding of his temperament. We’ll be returning here absolutely for the foreseeable future.

I had such a wonderful first time experience with Ellie's! After our old groomer retired we have been looking around for a long time for someone we could trust with our 2 boys. We are always a little hesitant about new groomers (what pet parent wouldn't be?) and our dogs always get nervous whenever they've gone to any other places before, so we've been on the hunt for a while. When I first called Ellie's, they explained that we would drop them off at 9 and pick up near the end of day, and assured me that they do not rush the pets and take the time and care they need to in order for the pets to feel comfortable there. Already a green flag! We dropped them off in the morning and the vibe in there was so great, I knew they would be in good hands. Came to pick them up at the end of the day and my boys looked so clean and happy roaming around with the other dogs, not at all anxious like they have at other places. We will definitely be returning! Thanks so much for taking good care of our babies. 🙂

We took our dog to the groomer for the first time in over a year because he was a rescue and was tense and wary around new people and dogs. Ellie's was the best groomer ever. They spent time with him, letting him get to know his surroundings and dogs. They sent movies and pictures along the way, which made us feel so reassured and happy. Our dog was so comfortable and he came out looking like a super star. You can really see how much they love dogs and know how to handle any time of dog. We highly recommend Ellie's Snip and Clip, and we will continue to take our dog to them in the future.

So excited about your new shop you deserve to be an owner now. Been going to this groomer for over 20 years. This is the first week of going to their new shop on Lincoln. The Ellie Snip and Clip team is amazing. My dog Archie is a shitz zu so he is more than a bath , he requires styling. This last few weeks he has been the longest without a groom ever waiting for the shop to openthru the transition, which was today. Let me tell you he was delivered a mess for the first time I was worried. But why...I should have know he would come out amazing. I highly recommend to everyone..you can trust, can not just bather but groomer, and the team are animal whispers. Congrads on week one. Your long time customer.
