Petco Grooming

1st and last time im bringing my dog here for a haircut. I told them they can shave his body but to leave his top head fluffy and half of the paws. Kind you they even charged me extra for brushing. For what?!? For them to shave him all down?!? The excuse: "oh, he was very matted" Are you serious right now?? His head wasn't matted and also I saw his hair on the floor, it was brushed and no matter but I guess they choose the easy way cuz there was only 1 worker there. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG FOR A GROOMING APPOINTMENT HERE. They will not listen, they will charge extra and do nothing of what you requested! Now I have to wait months until my furbaby will grow his nice hair back! Hes a poodle. Very dissapointed and this is not the 1st time happening. The 1st time i took him, the same, they told me they have to shave him down and said NO and took him someplace else where they did him really nice and didn't had to shave him down. Awful!!!😡😡😡

This Petco grooming is such a disappointment. I brought my dog in for a bath today and they turned me away because they said my dog was too matted. I’ve taken my dog to the Westwood and also Redondo locations without issue, but almost every time I take him to this location there seems to be an issue. Once they turned me away because I was bringing him back too soon since the last bath (3 weeks). Another time they turned me away because they were not comfortable with grooming/clipping his face. But today was my last straw. The guy says to me my dog is too matted and they wouldn’t recommend washing him because they matts will smell and my dog will just end up stinking. I literally brushed my dog in anticipation of the bath the night before but let him run out in the rain/mud today because I knew he was getting a bath. I told him I was fine with the "smell" because I’m taking him for a full groom next month and the guy tells me I should just wait for the groom then. I asked him are you recommending to not bathe him or are you refusing to take him and they told me they could not take him. When I walked in I didn’t see any other dogs. I honestly think they were caking the day since it was raining and just didn’t want a tough bath with a lot of brushing since I’ve got a large poodle. Such a disappointment!

I had a very disappointing experience with the grooming salon here. This was my puppy’s first cut. There was no consultation or recommendations made by the groomer at drop-off, and at pickup the stylist appeared annoyed and disengaged. When I asked how she did, he responded with "she’s lazy." The following morning, I discovered a raw abrasion on my dog’s skin. This was not disclosed to me at pickup. I understand minor nicks can happen, but the lack of communication, dismissive behavior, and discovering an injury afterward is completely unacceptable. I will not be returning and will be filing a complaint.

I love oscar! I kind of don’t want to put it out cause I want him to always have time for me haha, but, he’s so good he deserves public praise.

Our groomer Elahe is phenomenal. She was very patient, kind, and was very good with our dog. Our dog is happy and clean.

Janell did a really amazing job. Our dog Captain (photos) came out really happy and looking so handsome. It was so easy to schedule (through the Petco app) and use. And he was actually ready in less time than expected. We will definitely be back!

I love it! My Bella loves Oscar, he is very nice and loving with her.
