Rub My Belly Doggie Spa

This is my furbaby’s second groom at Rub My Belly. I must admit, shes’s quite a handful! But RMB has done a great job with her both times. I’ve been in Ohio for 7 1/2 years, and I’ve experienced awful service from other establishments. However, in my opinion, RMBDS is the best! Thanks so much for taking such good care of my Sasha🐾💖

Lucy always looks beautiful after Angie grooms her. As a rescue dog, Lucy had "issues" when I got her 5 years ago. Angie and her staff have been wonderful with her. Rub My Belly is the best!!

My dog Sunny was skittish at first, but Angie was so patient and kind. They do a great job, and now my dog loves going to get groomed! The prices are low compared to other places, and all of the employees are so kind! I wouldn't go anywhere else.

The owner here is very nice. My dog got groomed here and they did a great job. The owner is very nice and the staff is nice as well. My dog was not happy after being shaved but I do not think it was any fault of the staff. Dogs sometimes do not like being shaved. We will most likely be back. Once again, I would like to reiterate that the owner is very responsible and takes a lot of pride in his business. Much more so than your average groomer.

When we started using rub my belly 3 years ago, we and our dog loved it but the service has taken an absolute nose dive recently. The groomers/ owner refuse to communicate prior to making executive decisions on dogs grooming and are completely unapologetic when concerns are raised. They have a tendency to imply owners are poor caretakers when questioned about changes or issues. Improper drying has led to multiple ear infections for our dog, and a few times the gland clearing has been either skipped entirely or not performed properly causing irritation and expensive trips to the vet. They are always rushing to complete grooming so they can close early but then call you 5 minutes before they want to leave making you feel like you are an inconvenience to them. Yet for them always closing early you still always have to schedule months in advance because they are "short staffed" or so they say at nearly every visit. They require payment plus tip BEFORE you even see your dog leaving you to just pray they did what was asked. They do decently well on styles less than an inch long but give one standard cut to anything longer regardless of request- that style is long fur on ears and tail, shaved down body. (There is a picture of the owners dog on the wall there-- that's the cut you're getting.) If that's not what you want- go somewhere else. They seem to think they are the only ones who care about the animals and are very keen on insulting owners who question anything they do. When I asked for the most basic consideration and communication going forward after they shaved my poor maltipoo in the middle of winter without giving us any sort of call or heads up (he was only scheduled for a bath, teeth cleaning and sanitary trim) they repeatedly accused us of not knowing how to brush our dog and only caring about vanity and not his well being. (3rd picture is what they claim to be irreparably matted) We didn't even have a chance to get the poor thing a sweater. (Feels like a ploy to get us to buy their overpriced dog attire) in spite of them chopping off so much fur we still had to retouch his paws because they left little bits sticking out on all of his paws that he was obsessed with trying to lick off when we got home. Hands down the most insulting and inconsiderate place I've ever had the misfortune of interacting with. I actively feel bad for subjecting our poor little guy to them.
