DC Petropolis

If I could give Gabi and the DC Petropolis team a million stars I would! DC Petropolis is seriously amazing and special. My pup Ziggy first came in for 4 socialization sessions to get used to the environment of the grooming salon. This is a very unique policy of Gabi’s but it has been wonderful for Ziggy who now feels comfortable and even excited going to the groomer’s. Gabi made me and Ziggy feel so comfortable and welcome from our very first meeting. I trust her completely with my pup because I know she and her team genuinely care for and love all of their clients. Beyond going the extra mile to make the grooming experience a positive one, they are also fantastically skilled. Ziggy always leaves the salon looking and smelling amazing. I cannot recommend DC Petropolis more highly. Thank you, Gabi and team!

Looooove, love, love bringing my micro bernedoodle, Ziggy, to see Gabi and Ashley at Petropolis. She is currently 5 months old and came for 4 sessions of "puppy integration" to get acclimated to the space before having her first grooming appointment to ensure she was comfortable in the space, with the tools, and with the groomers. I felt at ease knowing that she was well cared for and able to enjoy playing with the other dogs in the shop that day instead of sitting alone in a crate all day. Gabi is so lovely to work with and genuinely cares about the happiness of your pup; it made the entire experience feel more like leaving Ziggy with a friend to hang out for the day who happens to be an amazing groomer! I can’t wait to come back for her next appointment and I know she can’t either.

WOW! We are so happy to have found DC Petropolis! We have a brand new 3 legged foster who has multiple skin nodules and quite the attitude. Due to her previous owners failing health, she had not been groomed in months, and had extremely long and matted hair (see before picture). We were very hesitant to get her groomed because of her temper, but knew she needed it. Gabriela was amazing. She took her time with Penny, managed her growls, attitude, and matted hair, and gave her such a beautiful cut. Because she has 3 legs, she would get tired of standing (especially during nail cutting), so Gabriela made sure to give her plenty of breaks. We've never encountered such a patient and talented groomer before. We are so happy with our experience and will be returning for all of Penny's cuts. There's no one else I would trust our pup with. I was lucky enough to come across a client of Gabby’s while on a walk with my pup in Logan Circle. The other dog (who was also a Wheaten Terrier) had such a good cut, I wanted the same for Jovie! I’m so glad to have been referred to DC Petropolis. Not only does she do a great job with the cuts, she is so wonderful with the dogs that come to her. Hands down, best groomer we’ve been to in D.C.

I can’t say enough good things about Gabby. I’ve been bring my dog Lucy to her since I brought her home, and even after moving out of the neighborhood she’s the only groomer I really trust. From having Lucy visit the shop before her first appointment to acclimate to the sounds and smell to getting to know Gabby, she’s really the best and cares for Lucy as if she was her own. Lucy is always all smiles after visiting Petropolis!

Gabby is the best, great hair cut each time and my pup always came back happy and was always excited whenever I brought him back. I'm moving out of the area and am saddened to not have access to cuts from DC Petropolis. She's the best, and really cares about her work and the animals! 💜

I've been taking my Bernedoodle to DC Petropolis for almost 4 years now and always come away impressed with how good he looks after getting groomed! He comes home soft, fluffy, smelling great, looking like a whole new dog, and with a nice bandana to complete the look every time. Five stars really doesn't do justice to how great DC Petropolis is.
