Alpha Grooming Pet Salon

I will update this review based on how Alpha Grooming treats me and my pet on the next appointment - for now this is my experience: On my first booking with Alpha Grooming, I requested a full cat styling and grooming and specifically asked for my cat to be shaved down. To my surprise, the groomer cut off the whiskers on the left side of her face. I’ve attached before and after photos. This was my first time using their service. The price was $120, which was cheaper than my previous groomer, and their mobile truck was able to find my apartment easily, which I appreciated. However, cutting a cat’s whiskers is not a minor mistake. Whiskers are extremely important for a cat’s sensory awareness and balance, and this should never happen during a routine grooming — especially without the owner’s consent. It makes me question how carefully the grooming was done overall. When I contacted Alpha Grooming about the issue, they offered a $20 discount. While I appreciate the gesture, it doesn’t feel like they fully acknowledged the seriousness of what happened or took proper responsibility. I hope they treat me as a customer and my pet better and with care. Saftey and care of YOUR pets should be their #1 priority. As of now, it is not convincing that they care.

Love them! Daniel is always so sweet and kind. My 14 year old pit bull manages to get her nails trimmed so well by him and he’s able to hold her in her large size. Thank you! Editing: our new Berne doodle is being maintenanced by Daniel and still, he has yet to fail. Everytime she comes back 10xs better. Ollie loves her Daniel. Thank you!!

Their driver pulled out of a driveway and went into oncoming traffic where I was and I had to swerve out of the way to avoid a collision. It happened 4/15/26 near 50 Elena Ave, Atherton, CA. 100% avoidable if they weren’t being reckless. I called the number and the person I spoke to didn’t understand the situation because the call center is in a different country.

Extremely disappointed with Alpha Pet Mobile Grooming. I booked grooming with Henry for my two cats (tabby and calico), and each appointments lasted only about 15 minutes for a wash, cut, dry, and nail trim. It was obvious afterward that they were not properly washed and their nails were not clipped. When I reached out, I was told someone would come back to fix it- no one ever did. Later, they falsely claimed a groomer had already returned. After I called that out, they said the groomer wasn't comfortable with my cats, which was never mentioned during the appointment. Poor service, lack of honesty, and no accountability. They refused to offer a refund. I would not recommend.

We had such a great experience recently with Alpha groom! Our pup has had ongoing allergies and they did such a great job of working with us to form an appropriate grooming plan. Booking again shortly!! And, of course, our pup looked fabulous, bandana and all.

It was my dogs first time getting a haircut, and her haircut came out nice. I'm happy with the service. They do use a nice scented shampoo, which really like but it might be too much for someone who is sensitive to smell. I included before and after pictures.

I had a terrible experience with this groomer. They are consistently late, but VERY LATE, three to four hours late, showing a complete lack of professionalism and respect for their customers time. But the worst part? They clipped my dog’s ear during the grooming session! This kind of carelessness is unacceptable. My pet was hurt, and there was no proper apology or accountability. If you love your dog and want them handled with care, I strongly DO NOT recommend this place.
