PetSmart Grooming

Everyone is helpful and the manager is attentive and present. Sandro is a patient and excellent groomer who takes extra time and care to cut my adolescent puppy's nails even though my puppy doesn't love it. Would highly recommend!

I recently took my cat to PetSmart for grooming, and I’m very disappointed with the service. This was my first time using their grooming services, and I specifically requested that the area underneath my cat’s stomach be shaved. Unfortunately, they didn’t follow these instructions, and a large chunk of hair is now missing on either side of my cat. They also forgot to trim his left leg. I had booked the full-service package, which costs $106, but they downgraded it to a basic package without notifying me, stating they couldn't perform the services I requested. As this was my first experience, I didn't realize until I got home that all they had done was bathe my cat. The cleaning of the ears was performed very effectively. This was the only aspect that stood out. For the price of 75, I expected a much higher standard of care. I would not recommend PetSmart for cat grooming.

My dogs seem to like it ok. They smell really good after and still do up til about a week later. The groomers do ask you to finish brushing them out to get the underfur or something to release. My large white dog rolled in the wild raspberries that had fallen from our backyard tree right after she got home smh. So she's got random magenta dye in different places. My other one, he looks so light and fluffy after, I think it's great for him, they have trouble getting his nails though.

Dog poop left everywhere in their outdoor potty area. Absolutely disgusting. 🤢 I have never seen it like this before over here. The poop station is within walking dusk a few feet away, can is overflowing and there’s no bags.

I only buy cat supplies here, and everything is as it should be. Get a cat! No grooming required, lol!

After hearing my sisters horror story of coming here, it’s no wonder that the average rating is barely 2 stars and unfortunately zero stars is not an option. She’s too nice to say anything about it but I will. The actual groomer she had was great but the other woman working there was rude and condescending, scolding her for being 10 minutes early (even though she had no problem waiting) and when my sister said she was there for the groomer, the woman had responded "Does it LOOK like she’s standing here?" She has never met her before so she wouldn’t know if she was there or not which is completely beside the point. When asking to speak with the manager the only response she got was that they weren’t available so "just keep calling until you get them." That’s a garbage response but not unexpected coming from a garbage human. She may not have been the groomer but if that’s how she treats other humans, how could you feel comfortable leaving your fur baby in her care? That’s a hard no.

Don’t know how to handle fidgety dogs or use soothing approaches to grooming practices. For the record, a bit of lavender oil can go a long way to make anxious dogs feel calmer. They called when my dog was ready for pick up but claimed they were unable to complete the nail clipping or foot trim as my dog was apparently "aggressive". My dog is a 14 year old Yorkie. He isn’t aggressive but rather anxious in his old age, and I mentioned this from the beginning. I’ve never had this issue with other groomers, it is just a shame that my usual go-to places were booked up for months.
