Well Groomed Pet Spa & Retreat

Tally loves this groomer and they do incredible work on all breeds but I love their standard poodle grooming mastery (see pic!) Everyone here is so kind to her and treats her like family. She sees lots of the dogs from daycare when we are out on the town. Couldn’t recommend more highly. Kellie Black is an exceptional groomer and breeder. Truly appreciate the care they give to Tally and all the doggos I see there.

Ozzy is a great groomer! He listens to what you’re wanting and does exactly that. I am always so pleased after picking my dog, Brody, up!

After a recent bad experience, I was very nervous to get my dog groomed. I was introduced to Well Groomed in passing, the person had a photo and I could not believe how beautiful and precise the cut was. I reached out to them and they were so sweet and were able to get me in that same week. I can honestly say… my dog has never been groomed this well! His cut is immaculate! He was so soft and smelled of this wonderful gentle cologne. Now, it was more then I’ve ever paid for a groom, about $130. However, the service and cut were well worth that— you are literally paying for perfection. So it’s not an issue of their pricing, it’s an issue of whether that is affordable for you or not. I will likely continue to take him there, because now that I’ve seen him look like this, I’m gonna be disappointed in anything else. I may need to take him less frequently, BUT I’ll figure it out! I am so happy with this business! Thank you!

I've been debating whether or not to post, but here goes! Pros: Extremely friendly staff; owner is very knowledgeable, especially about poodles; very timely! Cons: My 5.7 pound poodle was $136 to groom and that did not include teeth brushing. In addition, they charged me the adult price even though he was a week away from turning 1 and they refused to honor his age financially; I asked for a breakdown of the $136 and I was told by the groomer, "That's just my price". Absolutely love the owner, but I'm going to have to search for a new groomer!

Wow ! I love Well Groomed Pet Spa & Retreat !!! I have never seen any of my Poodles with such a perfectly clipped & scissred show cut , EVER !🥰 Well groomed Pet Spa & Retreat is huge & right in the Upper Kirby/River Oaks area so close to where I live ! Last year, I dropped my wallet in their parking lot, so the owner Kelli Black, delivered it to my home that day.!! ( 🙂No, nothing in it was touched !) The receptionist explains everything that will be done & she is so sweet ! I totally trust Well Groomed with my Poodles ! We used to take our pup to a cheaper groomer but after our first experience here we were so impressed we are willing to pay more! Our dog is a nervous guy sometimes but he is so excited when we pull up. We do daycare the day of his groom and he is so happy when I come pick him up. He also is so meticulously groomed with not a hair out of place. The staff is fantastic and everyone I’ve interacted with has been kind and professional. If you have a poodle or poodle mix this is the place to go!!
