Petco Grooming

I have been using the same mobile groomer for my mini Aussiedoodle for 3 years but wasn't getting the grooming I wanted and that the breed needs. I did some research and decided to try Petco La Frontera. The groomers with the most positive review shout outs were booked so I hesitantly clicked on any stylist. When I met the groomer, Isaiah, he did a detailed check in and I felt heard. I peeked in from time to time through the store window and could tell Isaiah was great with my dog. At pickup I was beyond pleased. Isaiah knows what he is doing and I'll be back. Sammy has never felt so soft and beautifully groomed. I'll be back and will be requesting Isaiah.

Our 4-year-old mini dachshund has been groomed regularly without incident. After this visit, he came home with visible swelling and bruising around one eye. Dominque was his groomer. We were told he " was startled" when the hair dryer was turned on and hit his head on the grooming arm. While I understand accidents can happen, what concerned us was the lack of documentation, care instructions, or recommendation for veterinary evaluation. The explanation focused on our dog being "clumsy," which felt dismissive given that he has been groomed many times before without issue. Grooming environments involve metal equipment and restraint systems, so heightened supervision and gradual noise introduction — especially around a dog’s face and eyes — should be standard practice. He appears to be acting normally, and we are monitoring him closely. However, when an injury occurs under professional supervision, we expect proactive communication and accountability. Not to find out when I notice it upon pick up. We hope this location reviews its safety procedures and response protocols so that future incidents are handled more thoroughly. We would have appreciated an offer to cover a veterinary check to ensure no underlying eye injury occurred under this Petco’s carelessness. Other than the bruise he was not groomed and cut the way we wanted him to be. We will not be back.

Walked into Petco without an appointment for a nail trim and mentioned that my Frenchie had been super itchy and that I might want to schedule a grooming appointment in the future to help him out. Isaiah was incredibly caring and helpful—he was able to squeeze him in right then and there! After about an hour wait, Biggie looked and smelled amazing. So grateful for the great service and kindness. Highly recommend Isaiah and this location!

I’ve taken my dogs to Isaiah at the round rock location for the last several months. He always does a great job! My older dog, who is usually nervous, loves him! I highly recommend him to anybody!

Isaiah K is so wonderful and patient with my dog Daisy. Daisy seems to love Isaiah too.😂 I think familiarity is key because Daisy feels comfortable with Isaiah. Will definitely continue getting Daisy groomed at Petco in Round Rock. Love the people and the environment. Everyone is so friendly.

I'm not happy that I wasn't notified that my fur babies were finished and were ready for pickup. When I dropped them off, he said it could take up to 3 hours (worse case scenario), but will do his best to finish up quicker. 3 hours went by and I arrived to see what was taking so long. He said they had been finished for 2 hours already, but the system failed to notify me. I'm not happy at all that my babies stayed in cages unnecessarily for all that time. Please fix your system! I'm sure I am not the only one that has had this issue.

Isaiah was amazing with our scared pup! And he looks great! Actually all associates and manager were so nice and helpful.
