Petco Grooming

We usually use the grooming department in Park city But they were busy so we went to Sugar House They only did half the job and of course they want you to tip before you even see the dog. They didn’t shave in between his toes on the bottom like we talked about. They didn’t shave his ears like we talked about. They didn’t shave him as close as we normally get even though it’s in the notes. They didn’t clip his nails. And they didn’t even shave all the way to his tail so now his tail is fluffier than the rest of his body, and he has a tail – hawk. I feel like they got halfway done, and forgot where they were in the process and then just stopped. Getting your dog groomed at Petco is like getting your haircut at great clips. Sometimes you get a good haircut but 20 or 30% of the time you’re going to get somebody who doesn’t know what they’re doing, but they always wanted a tip

Natalie was super pleasant and professional. My dogs can be a handful, super rowdy, but she handled them like a champ. Both my dogs looked (and smelled) amazing after their appointments.

Amanda is absolutely amazing! She always does such a good job with my golden retriever. He was absolutely so soft and fluffy when I picked him up.

I wish I could give a higher review, but I am so so happy with my experience for my dog’s groom. Natalie listened to everything my dog and I needed and even called me to check in before starting her cut. I also love how good my dog smells and her cut and clean is amazing. It’s really hard to find a groomer who can do anal glands expressions so clean and nice and Natalie did just that!

Sadly I have to post this to warn others, I brought to the grooming saloon my Pomeranian dog and the experience was horrible, I specifically asked to just Do a bath to my dog. Not hair cut, not shedding shampoo or comb not SHAVING any parts of its body. I got the dog back and it was done all of the above. The lady shave his sanitary parts and made a trail down between his legs of about 2 inches wide. Imagine a mini Pomeranian without hair there… I WAITED to post this hoping the hair will grow back but sadly nothing is growing back. They also comb so hard that on its right side there was a chunk of hair removed ! They don’t listen. They ruin the coat of my dog causing a growth shock. All of this after they assured me that the hair won’t be cut in anyway.

Amanda at the Petco in Sugarhouse is the best and always does such a wonderful job with our schnauzer. She does the cut perfectly every time, and our dog is always so happy to see her, proving that she takes so much care, patience, and gentleness when she grooms him. We are so lucky to have found a local groomer who knows how to groom schnauzers. She is also just the friendliest person, so we love coming back again and again for appointments.

Amanda is wonderful and a talented groomer. our dog Angus loves her. They are also friendly and appear to really love the animals they care for.
