Ana has been grooming our dog, Daisy, for quite some time now, and every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. She is incredibly caring, professional, and always treats Daisy as if she were her own. Daisy is always happy and comfortable with Ana, which gives us so much peace of mind. Every grooming appointment is consistently excellent—Daisy comes home looking beautiful, clean, fluffy, and perfectly groomed. Ana pays attention to every detail and always does an outstanding job. What we appreciate most is the genuine love and patience Ana shows toward animals. It’s clear that she truly cares about the pets she works with, and that level of dedication is hard to find. ⚠️ WARNING TO ALL PET OWNERS — DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE ⚠️ I dropped my goldendoodle off for a simple haircut and wash. I picked up a dog with an open, raw razor wound gouged into her leg — a deep, bloody gash where the clipper tore through her skin (photo attached, see for yourself). She came home injured and bleeding from a place that was supposed to care for her. That's bad enough. Their response made it unforgivable. When I called, the staff were cold and dismissive and couldn't have cared less that they'd cut my dog. When the owner/manager finally called back, they didn't apologize — they DENIED it and blamed ME, insisting that if it happened at their shop 'someone would have noticed.' Someone did notice. Me. When I got home and found the wound THEY left on my dog. No apology. No accountability. No remorse. They injured a defenseless animal, then argued with me that it never happened. If you love your pet, hear me clearly: take them ANYWHERE but here. These people will hurt your dog and then look you in the eye and tell you they didn't. Your pet deserves better. Mine did too.

I gave this place a second chance after explaining to them, the last time I was there my dog was not washed appropriately and that she still smelled. The staff working on shift explained, the prior staff that groomed her no longer worked for the establishment and they were going to make sure my German Shepherd would get the best care. I got a call she was done in 40 min. Before my back surgery, I would groomed my dog on my own and she would smelled fresh for long period of time with her coat shining. This place is a waist.

This picture demonstrates the butcher job Top Dog did to my dog. The groomer sheered off several layers of skin in a few locations on my dogs belly. We took our dog to the vet, who gave us a couple ointments and a cone of shame. Poor dog. I figured they hired an inexperienced groomer and that they would appreciate an opportunity to compensate for the painful experience that they created. I wanted to give Top Dog the benefit of the doubt and expected appreciation for our loyalty despite the butcher job. I also didn't just jump onto the internet to flame their business. I figured they would appreciate a face-to-face discussion about what happened, along with sharing the pictures. When I brought my dog back again today, I showed this picture to my groomer and she said that it was the worst job she had ever seen. I then spoke to the manager who spoke to the owner. Ownership offered 20% off the next grooming, a truly deficient response. We will not be returning after that butcher job and irresponsible ownership response.

I had to find a new nail trim/groomer for my 10 lb min pin since we just moved to the area. I couldn’t be more pleased with the service. My dog has alot of anxiety, and both Riley and Laura made our first experience so calming and successful all while being extremely patient. Laura asked me throughout the nail trimming if it was ok to keep going, which I found very professional and a genuine way to build rapport with a new client. I’m so glad I found Top Dog and will definitely be coming back!

The BEST! Great price, great location, great staff. My 3 year old dog named Goose jumps out of the car and wags his tail heading for the door because he is somehow actually excited to go in. The staff loves him there and I think it’s reciprocated because he always knows where we are going and is excited. I moved to Normal Heights 10 months ago. I’ve been taking my pup here every 3 or so weeks. He’s a 25 lb poodle mix. I go back and forth between a Small Dog Bath + Tidy and a Small Dog Groom based on what he needs at the time. They do an excellent job. Very very well priced. He always leaves happy, smelling and looking dapper, with a fresh bandana. I always wind up getting him a big bone or some awesome treat from their front shop to treat him because it’s well deserved. They do an awesome job at scheduling. You can book easily online or if you need help give them a call no problem. They can typically get him in within a few days or less. Which is rare. Before I found Top Dog I was always having to book a few weeks out which just doesn’t worrk with my constantly changing and spontaneous schedule. Love using small businesses when they are this awesome. Your wallet, your pup + you will love Top Dog. Highly recommend!!!!

They’re fantastic! We’ve been for multiple grooms for both of my Mischevious Miscreants (husky & Aussie pair), and for nail trimmings as well- they are so good with my crazypants dogs. 100%, you can trust your critters here.
