We had a not-so-great experience with grooming in the U.S., so I started grooming my dog myself. Of course, it was uneven and not professional, but I just didn’t want to take any more risks with groomers. Finally, we decided to trust a groomer again — and Alla is a true professional. My Joy looks like she did in the old days, such a beauty! From now on, only here. 💛🐶
I have poodles, and proper grooming for this breed requires real skill and experience. The owner, Alla, consistently does an excellent job--clean, well-shaped cuts, great attention to detail, and calm handling. My dogs always come back looking great and comfortable. Highly recommend to anyone with poodles or other high-maintenance coats.
I take my 1 1/2 year old frenchie to Pet Stylist for grooming. They always do an amazing job. He smells so clean and his coat is so shiny. Their prices are very reasonable and their facility is clean.
Ala is great, she takes very good care of our AJ. Lida is also very good, she’s been with AJ over 8 years now. We take our pup every two weeks (once bathed, next fully groomed). My wife insists on their treatment and care of our AJ.
My senior cat Lexie had some bad mats on her lower belly and needed some general sprucing up. She's over 20 years old, has arthritis and kidney disease, so doesn't groom herself very much anymore. I occasionally would brush out or shave what I could when she would let me, but no way was she letting me touch her belly! I was at my wit's end trying to find a cat groomer in Oakland/ inner East Bay. All of the cat groomers I called were either too far away or had a waitlist. I saw that Petstylist was in San Leandro and had some cat clients, so called an made an appointment. I'm so glad I did! Natasha was the groomer and was so gentle with her. Lexie got all her mats/knots brushed out or shaved, a warm bath and a luxurious blowout. All for a very reasonable price. I'm so glad that I took her to Petstylist, wish I knew about them sooner!
After two visits to the Pet Stylist salon I couldn’t be happier. My Yorkie finally looks like Yorkie. Alla is very professional and patient. Salon looks spotless. Easy to make an appointment. Highly recommend!
Do not go here! Especially for hand stripping. I’ve been going to this grooming location for 3 years with my Scottish Terrier. He was literally raised here in many ways and it pains me to give a bad review of a place that he loved going to every 6 weeks since he was a baby, it’s because of Corrine and Elena that my pup loves the groomers. With Corrine having moved I wanted to give them a chance with the new owners and omg it was so bad. The new owners do NOT know how to hand strip and they ruined my dogs hair. No joke, his bum looks like someone’s kid took scissors to him and the attached photo was taken right when I got home. They charged me $140 and ruined all of the hand stripping work that took years to perfect. His hair around his face is so short and they chopped off his beard. 😯 I can’t speak to the other style of grooming they do but this was so bad I’m going to review everywhere to warn people. Also! I made an appointment and they made me take my dog home because no one hand strips there… told me to come back the next day and they had a new groomer who didn’t know what to do butcher my dogs hair cut. Then charged me extra because he had knots? Which I get but also I went way outta my way annnnd they ruined his hair.
